Tormy & Ainsleyp - yeah he has abnormal sperm morphology & mobility issues... Apparently it's improved a little but it's not great, that said she still thinks we have a chance of catching an egg, to the point that on my 21 day scan she has included HCG test also... We've decided to take it a day at a time as we really think it would be crazy that we have not been able to fertilize a single egg in almost 2 years, to then be able to fertilize 5!!! WTF!

FS has said I need to drop my dose next month from 50 to 25.... Agreed!
If we don't fall pregnant by November it's back to IVF for us

    Is the problem your ovulation?
I seem to ovulate naturally hence the 5 but I think clomid is to increase our chances.... I have pco but not the syndrome, not sure what that means..

Tormy we are twins! MARTTC I'm on 25mg and get one follicle, just in case you decide not to try this month. What about iui as a next step instead of IVF?

Tormy are you taking the clomid again?

I'm 8dpo and feel completely normal just wonder if it's ever going to work. DH's sperm is good, so is my egg quality bad or what?!

did they tell you the size off the follicles Marttc? I just had my scan on the right side I have 8 follies measuring around 8 and one at 13 on the right side I have 10 with 2 at 13 and the rest 8 and under.

Can anyone explain this to me as I can't see my gp for a few days?
I do ovulate late with clomid so I'm pretty sure at least 4 days till O.

    Thoughts?

Hi Bokkie. It's normal to have lots of follicles (especially with PCO of corse), but generally only a few will grow to maturity (>17mm). Hopefully one or two of yours will keep growing. You usually ovulate when they're 17-23mm.

Will you go for another scan? Are you with a FS? Who did the scan?

I just went to a normal ultrasound place. No FS and I don't have PCOS. I have long cycles. I don't have another scan. Do you think there 3 dominant ones are on track for Cd 13? Do you know how much they typically grow each day?

Hi Bokkie, they grow 2mm per day. I'm not sure about your case really. Why did you have the scan? If you have long cycles I'd say it's on track. If you subtract 14 from your usual cycle length then that's the day you should ovulate.

Clomid is for those who don't ovulate on their own. It's too often prescribed to solve other problems.....by GPs who aren't experts. And you can have serious side effects such as hyper stimulation.

Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility? I would really rec it as a first step rather than clomid. Clomid can really affect things such as CM if not used correctly. Not saying your GP doesn't know what they're doing.... But just be careful.
