Has anyone else experienced their skin cleaning up while on clomid? I have had pretty bad acne my whole life and in the last week it has cleared up completely, it has never look this good, there isn't a spot in sight. Naturally I am very happy about this as I have tried everything to improve my skin but have only been washing it with soap cause nothing works anyway. So I'm just wondering if it's from the clomid and if my acne will come back when I go off it?

Hello, I am new to all this, I just had to comment. I share your pain! I am 30 been ttc for 11 months. Just found out I have pcos and this week my two best friends found out they were pregnant one of them in their second month. My 3rd close friend is also pregnant but a few months. Been an absolute mess a week. I can't even talk to them. so that's it for me. The 3 closest females in my life all pregnant. And I'm just about to start clomid. Grrr.

I have only read the last few pages on here, I am currently TTC again and hoping I dont have to go back on clomid. Last time it worked on my 3rd round and I now have 17 month old twins. That is the only reason I dont want to go on it. I want to steer clear of anything that may lead to twins again but if have to then Ill take the risk. I till have not had a period since I had the twins so I know Im not ovulating. I never ovulated before and it looks like nothing has changed.
Just be cautious about upping the dose. Its not necessarly the mg that will make it work. I was only on 25mg wih my rounds.
Also as for the skin thing, it could be the clomid, its usually a hormonal thing to gt break outs. I had great skin until I got pregnant then it went horrible. No pregnancy glow for me. I even got referred to a skin specialist but there was nothing they could do. No cream is really safe with pregnant nor no oral meds. I hope that doesnt happen again

I've actually experienced the total opposite. My skin is shocking, pimples everywhere and my eczema is REALLY bad.

Sounds like you def need another fertility specialist!! One of the first things they usually do before u TTC is have your tubes checked! What's the point of all these meds with the horrible side effects if the egg won't even make it to the womb?? Haha!! But hopefully they are fine and it's just stubborn ovaries!! I take it your partner has had his sperm checked??

Yeah my FS is not a fan of clomid, we only tried it cause I didn't want to inject myself every day with FSH, but after the clomid side effects I had, the injections each day are a refreshing change!!!

Everyone is just so different. Some people ovulate on a tiny dose, some not on the largest dose!

    When is your FS appointment??

    Mam
Yep, hubs has had two SA checks - his results are just 'okay' - not super concerning, but not great either. We're currently waiting for his THIRD batch of results (they're waiting for us at the new specialist) and will see what we have to do next. You're right, though - the old specialist was super laid back about it all. It was so frustrating!

So glad the injectables are doing the job for you! I'm really hoping we can head down that path, because it's heartbreaking holding out for O every month and never getting there.

New specialist at the fertility centre is next Thursday. I can't wait!!

    Hi ladies

I am in some real need of advice! I also posted in the PCOS thread in the hope someone will reply... I've been taking provera to bring on AF before starting clomid. I took it for 7 days the last day being this past Wednesday. I know it sometimes takes a while for AF to arrive but I've had spotting over the last few days, a tiny tiny amount, and not proper blood just watery, pink cm... So is this my period or not?? Should I start taking clomid cos this is the second day of spotting??? Thanks so much for any replies I'm just really confused and would be devastated if I missed my chance at taking the clomid this cycle!

On my first round of clomid I had to take provera to kick start AF. I had the same thing and took my clomid when I was spotting and I didn't ovulate that cycle at all. I don't know if it was because I didn't start it on full flow or if i just wasn't lucky but I would wait until its full flow before taking it just to be sure. Every other cycle I waited till it was a "period" and not spotting and I ovulated. Hope that helps! Good luck!
