Hopefully2 Both DD and DS where Day 5 transfers if we go with the 2 they will be Day 2 transfers. I had the same decision with my very first cycle and decided to wait and didn't get to transfer.

Personally from experience I would prefer not to transfer knowing they weren't going to survive (as in none make it to day 5) then go through a tww and they didn't survive anyway. Gee it's not fun. I wish u peace in finding your answer. Tomorrow you can find out if they look like they r still dividing. If they r then you could keep waiting.

adden - that is a very good attitude you have! Indeed, all you need is one - and I hope it's a sticky one for you.

Samarasmum - I opted for day 5 transfer. (I got 4 eggs, 3 fertilised). One of the embies developed a LOT faster than the others, so they were a bit wary of it....it's one of my frozen ones. My bubba-to-be was the only "textbook" looking embie all the way through developement - which I hoped (and still do) means a normal healthy bub (my goal). It was important for me (especially as a single lady) to have the best chance of having a healthy baby. It's so hard to know what to do - I have heard so many stories about early transfers of struggling embies who turn into perfectly healthy, successful people. I know I'd be upset if I had nothing to transfer, but I also know that I'd be just as upset if I got a BFN - or more so if it ended in a miscarriage.
Definitely not an easy decision. Good luck
    xx

Hi Samsarasmum: Just wanted to say good luck with which ever path you decide to take. But personally l would wait til day 5, at least then if they both make it you have one to freeze, but then l think you have said before that you don't have much luck wiht FETs so maybe for you in this situation l would have them both put back at day 3. Good luck.

    Hi to everyone else.

AFM: I'm taking a break l still have two frosties, the HRT FET really knocked me about so l'm getting my body back on track, plus l'm off on a holiday in August and don't want to have any complications.

    Hi fellow Perth-ians

I am going to start my first ever cycle of IVF in 5 days. I'm both nervous and excited about it all.
Ill be reading the forum for any valuable tips and support

If anyone wants to meet for a coffee and chat in Perth city I would be really keen to have the support network as I've relocated from the UK and have left some of my dearest friends and family abroad who I would normally "lean" on.

Zebby – welcome to the forum and to IVF. I hope your stint is short and sweet. Did you move to Perth for lifestyle, love, work or other?

Amy – hey Amy I hope the spotting has settled down. I had brown spotting on 7dpt and 8dpt. While it freaked me out at the time it turned out to be implantation spotting. I hope that it is the same for you.

Catchick – have a good break and a great holiday. Are you going somewhere warm?

Samarsmum – are you happy with the decision that you made in the end? I hope that you are keeping well.

Perths – good news about the little one but bummer about the iron tablets. That constipation does not need any encouragement!

Adden – yay for 4 embies! When is your transfer?

Sariele – sorry that it didn’t work out for you this time. Please do stay on the thread, I would love to see your BFP.

Hello to kdsd, Hopefully2 and anyone else who has slipped my mind.

AFM – 19 week scan this week showed bubs looking good and progressing well. Seems that we are going to be having a girl!! This will add to my 3 nieces – no boys on either side of the family yet. She was being a bit unco-operative moving her hands in front of her face so that we couldn’t get a good 3D picture of her face, but it is just always good to see her.

Leafy - Congratulations on your little girl! My little bloke had his hands in front of his face at my 20 week scan too. Just a little camera shy, aren't they!?

AmyEL - as I'm sure you're aware, I had spotting and 8 lots of heavy bleeding up until 18 weeks. Blood isn't always a sign of miscarriage - sure, it's not great, but it donsn't always mean the worst. I also didn't get a positive POAS until I was 6 weeks pregnant, so hold off if you can! Blood tests are best. Fingers crossed you get a good blood result - not long to go now!

Samarasmum - I hope your little embies are growing strong. Good luck with your transfer.

CatChic - I hope you have a relaxing break. IVF is such an emotional and physical rollercoaster, it's great that you're taking time off to make sure you're 100% ready for the next round. I'm sure it will make all the difference and give you that BFP you're after.

Zebby - hello and welcome! How long have you been in Perth for? Which clinic are you going through? Good luck with this cycle.

    Sorry to anyone I've missed

    Baby dust to everyone!!
    xx

Adden Hope your 4 embies are dividing nicely. I would normally wait for a day 5 but #3 has been a long process.

Hopefully2 If my FS didn’t think it was a good idea he would probably stop it from happening. I have faced this decision before and I think the universe is giving me a second chance to make the right decision. Hubby is all for 2. He has always wanted 4 kids and I only want 2 then changed my mind to 3. Not long for you now.

PerthS Day 3 is a new adventure for me. My embies sound like they are dividing nicely there is a Grade 1 and a Grade 2. I will find out more how they are going tomorrow when I go in for Transfer.

Jaspat24 I haven’t spoken to my FS yet but I would think if it wasn’t a good idea he would give me a call.

CatChick Enjoy your holiday in August. Have you tried a natural transfer?

AmyEL Try to resist as it is only 4 sleeps. it is positive for you.

Zeby Which clinic are you with? You will get plenty of tips and support from here. Would love to catch up for a coffee.

Leafy That is great that your 19 week scan went well. Yes I am happy with my decision as I feel the universe is giving me a second chance.

AFM I received my call from the clinic to let me know that my 2 embies are both 4 cell one Grade 1 and 1 Grade 2. I have decided to go with transferring both tomorrow as if I end up with nothing I don't wish to go with our only frostie as I don't think it is a good one.
