Leafy - Yep, wedding in one week and one day! I'm feeling very calm about it all, which is good. The only thing I'm paranoid about is one or both of us getting sick on or just before the day (or even on the honeymoon). I cannot believe how many people are getting gastro right now -- I keep seeing people complaining about it on facebook and now I've pretty much convinced myself that one of us is going to catch it. Probably DF since he's going to work etc., whereas I'm a housewife now. But hopefully we'll come through okay.

DF has just been offered another job in Brisbane, with a different company to the one that fell through back in Jan/Feb. So I may still be moving there after the wedding anyway, which will mean pushing back IVF a month or so, as DF will need me to find us a place to live over there. Also it will suck having to stay with my parents back here for an entire treatment cycle, especially since they live nearly an hour away from the clinic, whereas we live about 5 - 10 mins away currently! Oh well.

Hope everyone is going well, I have been pretty inactive here and obviously will be for the next few weeks, but I'll stop by when I can.

Thank u so much for the welcomes

Had my ultrasound and blood test today.. CD 9 today and they saw one 12mm follicle on each side and about 6small ones on both sides too.. Was told there was no bad stuff to effect anything from not happening.. So good news. Back for another b/t on thurs.. Already starting to feel like a pin cushion lol.. Can't imagine how I'll feel once we actually start an IVF cycle!!

Sariele.. Best wishes for a wonderful wedding day this weekend.. Make the most it coz the day will fly by!!

Had a good friend tell me the other day that she is 8weeks pregnant.. She has major sickness all day long. Had to help her out today getting thru work... Have lent her my Up the Duff book so she has an idea what to expect week to week... Very thankful to having plenty of cousins been pregnant to learn a lot from and also these forums so I know a lot of what to expect... Couldn't imagine going into it in the dark, I'm sure I'll still learn a lot when I am but you know what I mean..

Off to Margaret River tomorrow for the day.. Road trip with my mum.. Should be a good day..
Hope all is well and you all enjoyed the long weekend

Just a quick update from me:
Friday 13th, was like something out of a movie. Thursday morning I was promised my amnio results by noon Friday (after initially being told a 10 day wait...it turned into 22, so I was hounding them every-other-day asking when the results would be in). I made sure I kept busy. I did my shopping, went to the post office...then it would be my 20 week anatomy scan, booked for 11:45. On the way to the scan I get a phone call from my midwife - "had I got the results yet?" I told her no...and wasn't she supposed to be the one to tell me the resutls??? Yes, she confirmed she'd phone me as soon as they came through. I got to Women's Imaging, asked the receptionist if my results had come - she said she'd check for me, but never got back to me. It was very busy in there and I waited impatiently in the waiting room until 12:40. I knew I was up next. The sonographer came out of her room, my phone rang - I answered it and it was the midwife again, asking me where I was. I told her I was about to go in for my scan, she said great - as the amnio results came back perfectly normal.
    I bawled my eyes out!
I was so shattered after this last month of waiting for clear results and the real potential of losing Ash, I didn't really get a good look at bub during the scan. I'm so glad that they record it all on DVD! Unfortunately Ash's head was right down in my pelvis and his arm was up over his face, so we didn't get a very good look at his face. No complaints though, he measured up well. Spot on where he should be. So, fingers crossed that he keeps growing normally. There is still some potential for him to be small due to the CPM, but it's too early for that to be an issue yet.

Now I'm just feeling drained. I'm looking forwards to enjoying my pregnancy. Fingers crossed this is my last hurdle for a long while.

I hope everyone else is progressing well.

    Baby dust to all!!

PerthS oh thank God everythings ok! you poor things, i can't imagine going through anything like that. put your feet up and just take a few days to rest and bond with bub some more, especially now the results are all clear.
Sariele, hope your wedding is just perfect and you have a lovely day! the weather is quite nice out there atm!
kdsd, hope the rest of your tarcking cycle goes ok
    hi to everyone else!

AFM: i've had a couple of small spotting bleeds, usually once i've done too much either in walking/shopping or just spring cleaning. getting another scan next week, i'm confident its nothing though must be related to the weird pain i had when i was 5wks.
    speak soon xoxo

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've posted anything.

Sariele - congrats on your wedding. I hope the both of you really enjoyed the day. Have you found out about DHs job yet?

Perths - it's so so good to hear that everything is okay with your bub. Your body must feel much more relaxed now that you are not worrying about it any more.

Jaspat - how did the scan go this week?

Catchick - have you had your FET yet?

Samarasmum - have you met with the FS or made any decisions about your next step?

AFM - I have just spent a week in Melbourne playing with my adorable nieces and eating way too much!! 12 week scan is next week. It will be nice to have it done and then to be able to tell people as I have a definite belly already (although all the Easter choc doesn't help).

Have a great weekend everyone .

All.. Very quiet here.. Have been reading thru heaps of threads to get as much of an understanding as possible of what to expect.. But curious as have seen lots about other clinics over east but not much about over here..
We have our second fs appt coming up in a couple of weeks and know he wants to go over the results of all our tests, DHs sperm bankings and my tracking cycle.. What else is the protocol for a second appt.. We already know which treatment we need.. Does Perth clinics (we r at fertility north) require police checks, counselling etc?? Just curious as I see vic clinics it's mandatory but haven't seen anyone else in oz talk about it.. I know there is an IVF info session that they have and I'm sure we' ll be told when to go etc..
Sorry if this is a lot of mumble jumble lol.. Just trying find out more info and kind of do a bit of guess work as to when we will be able to start our first cycle.. (I'll be mid cycle at appt so thinking most likely not til at least July)

Leafy... All the best for ur scan... So exciting :-)
perths.. Good to hear everything is well.. Now u can relax and enjoy the rest of ur pregnancy
jaspat.. Have u had the scan?

Hope everyone else is travelling well.. Fingers crossed for those in the middle or about to start a cycle

Kdsd As far as I am aware there is no police checks for WA. To start we did have to do a counselling sessions. We are with a different clinic.

    A Big to everyone else.

Hi Kdsd; i was at same clinic as samarasmum and no police checks, also we didn't do the counselling session, i kinda bypassed that. Have heard good things about fertnorth, they're pretty much all good here in WA is what i've heard.

scan last tuesday showed bub 4 days ahead and heartbeat of 169! almost 10wks and still can't believe i've done ivf. Someone was asking me the other day about the transfer and i laughed thinking about it. DH wasn't even there, it was just me, my FS and the nurse. I left straight afterwards, and stopped into 3 shops looking for veal osso bucco then went and got DS, had a small rest then proceeded to stand up for and hour or so cooking dinner! lol
i'll let you know how the 12wk scan goes xoxo

I think the only state that police checks is Victoria.

Afm- 30 weeks and looking forward to maternity leave.

Got my day 21 b/t tomorrow. I'm guessing there will be one more after that before my cycle ends.. It's been nice not having to get up early just about everyday for the last week.. Hopefully being a pub hol it'll be a quick in and out appt.. Got my laser to remove my abnormal cells on my cervix on Friday. A little scared about it.. Not sure what to expect or if I will be able to drive afterwards.. Has anyone had it done before? Might have to call them on Thursday and ask a few q's so I know...
