Default What on Earth is going on?! (and TMI for some people - maybe?)

    Hi Everyone,

Well I am really confused and looking for some pointers to maybe help me understand.

I gave birth to my beautiful daughter 14 weeks ago. I bled for about 6/7 weeks ranging from heavy to light and then it stopped and came back again for about a week and then stopped (I am wondering if that come back for a week was a period not sure?)

Since then about 4 weeks ago I had bleeding/spotting (half between) for about 2 days then it went.

Now for about a week Ive had back ache, major bloating, mega hungry, very very moody (moody old cow for sure!), tired. Every symptom I used to get with a period coming (last period was about 2 years ago) however I still have no period! Although I feel like I am.

I cant start birth control as I havent been able to work out when to start, we have only done it a hand ful of times and have used protection every time.

I did take a pregnancy test a week ago and there was absolutely no line.

Is this normal or should I worry? I have been majorly stressed and now all pmsy its not working for me. But my body definately couldnt handle anothe pregnancy the last one had me with 155/105 bp, anemic, liver and kidney issues etc. My body still hasnt sorted itself out.

    Advice?

    Thanks guys and girls!

It sounds pretty normal to me. Your body has just been through a massive hormonal experience.

As for birth control, that would depend on what kind and if you're breast feeding or not. I only just went back on the pill a few months ago as I Bf DD for 20 months.

Because the period has not been present during pregnancy it can be all over the place once bubs is born and our body tries to regulate itself.

If you're worried, you can always go see your ob or gp but sounds normal to me.
