Default What else can I do to ovulate naturally?

Ok, so I've been taking the microgenics pre-conception multi, 1/2 tsp maca root powder and 2 evening primrose daily, and using wild yam cream twice a day.
My problem is I have polycystic ovaries, my testosterone levels are normal but my progesterone levels are very low so I'm not ovulating. I did ovulate last cycle, but I didn't this cycle. I'm at a loss to what else I can do. I'm considering increasing the maca root powder and the cream, but I don't know what else can boost progesterone short of pessaries.
My doctor isn't willing to try pessaries yet because we won't be TTC for about 12 months so she doesn't want me on them long term. I think that losing weight will help, but I have chronic pain, so it's really hard to exercise. Gluten makes me feel yucky, so I'm thinking of cutting it out, but I don't really know what else to do.
Should I get my doctor to check my insulin resistance? What else can I do?

    Have you tried vitex/angus cactus?

It's in the vitamin section of the chemist.

I have tried vitex but it hasn't done much for me apparently it takes up to 3 months to start having an effect. Sorry, this isn't very helpful, I'd love to know if there are other options though
