MrsErinR - shame that the fibroids have arisen. Good luck with managing it. We all just take it step by step and deal with what we have to as it arises hey? Being proactive is the best thing for sure.
The dairy thing is interesting. I must admit I haven't tried it since we posted on here about it. I think I got a bit paranoid about gaining weight. Although my home made camembert cheese is now aged and being eaten so I've had a bit of that of late which I suppose is good dairy

Been having the wierdest sensations today, some are like "O" and some are like AF is about to arrive which is expected in 3 days. Maybe I'm just having IPS.

Sorry to hear about that Erin : ( Hopefully it all gets sorted quickly.

That's really interesting... what is full-fat dairy supposed to do? I ovulated day 16 this month, which I know is not ideal but I'm not sure why... is it something to do with a short luteal phase? And what exactly does that mean anyway?

Petulia - A luteal phase is the time after ovulation to AF. So it depends when AF comes. They say 11 days upwards is okay. Mine is always 12 and specialist reckons that's on the short side of course but still within okay range. 14 is the 'normal' though so longer is better.
If you ovulated later, chances are AF will come later too.

    Angelbutterfly - Oooohhhh, sounding hopeful.....

Nat256, I think you will still have your 3 cycles to try naturally even with your FS appt looming. My experience was that I was about to begin AF 5 days later so I was rushed through, but you will probably have to wait at least until your next AF to start. Depending what they suggest you do, keep going as you are, IUI or IVF it can be more waiting. That's my main complaint, lots of waiting but that will give you a couple more natural cycle chances. I really hope you don't need your FS appt.

You're right Wunsi. It's only my first appointment so I imagine by the time things actually happen it will be later. Makes me feel better, we want as much time naturally as we can. Thanks!

Hey ladies, I hope you're all having a great weekend! Just a quick update of where I'm at- I went to my local gp & she's suggested an ultrasound & a blood test at 7 dpo.. She is checking if I have issues ovulating / I told her that my OPKs are suggesting I am- but she wants to check anyway. If nothing comes of that, she wants to do the procedure to check for blocked fallopian tubes with dye. Is that what a few of you have had/ is this a laparoscopy? As for the quilt making I'm cutting out fabric hexagons- only about 100 to go!!

Hi green tea. I think the dye test is called HyCoSy (shorthand). It can be done as part of a laparoscopy, but it can also be done on its own. I have read of girls not having to under a general for just that test. They can do it with the ultrasound I think and injecting the dye. Might want to check that though as it is just from my memory when I was looking up the test in January.

Hi Green Tea - yes it's what I had. Laproscopy and hysteroscopy. My specialist said that there is a dye test that can be done with an x-ray and dye - therefore not requiring surgery. He said that this is being found to be about 40% and up to 60% inaccurate though, therefore the surgery was a better option as we didn't have time to muck around. I don't know if anyone else has been told this though.
I had the blood test at 7dpo too, even though I was sure I was ovulating. It was nice to know for sure.
