    Hey girls,
Just wanted to introduce myself, Ive been quietly stalking for a little while but thought it was worthwhile joining in. Im 36 and TTC for 6 months with not a lot of success. Im at DPO 7 today (my luteal phase has been averaging 8 days) so keeping fingers crossed.

Ive been seeing an acupuncturist/CHM for last 3 months and wondering whether its having any impact. Anyone had success?

    Fingers crossed for you all!

She specialises in fertility too. Just google The natural health and fertility centre. I also started acupuncture in readiness for next FET.

Hi to everyone else. I hope all is well with everyone.

Thanks wishing4, already taking herbs that a natropath at the health food store gave me for energy so know about the taste, have been putting a drop of orange juice with it the last couple of days, makes it a little more bearable! I'm on the Gold Coast so may just go with the one that I was referred to, DH is not a fan of Natropaths though so have to convince him too....

    Welcome Vivre!

Im taking Chinese herbs and I boil the kettle and mix with mine. For some reason seems to lessen the bitterness..

Well, here we go again. Back to the beginning of our cycle and counting down to 'prime time' of trying late next week. I have postponed our obstetrician appointment until early July. I decided that I really didn't feel that we've tried properly yet (our timing has been hopeless) and since all test results are coming back good I'm hoping it's just a matter of timing. So I feel better about giving it another couple of months before going. I hope it's the right decision. On a good front, we just got 2 new obstetricians in our area which makes it a LOT easier to get in for appointments. We only had one for a 500km radius there for a while!

How are you getting on Roro? Getting any patterns or results?

Nat, whatever decision you make, is the right one for you. I was stressing about taking a month off, but am glad we did.

Roro, how did you go with the next round of blood tests. I hope you didn't faint again.

I'm doing ok. My knee is fine I'm just not allowed to play sport for the next 6 months. A while ago I was told I might be going to London in Aug or Sept. I was told last week that I am going next Friday. I'm excited for it, I just hope my knee doesn't get too sore on the flight. When I get back, we will be getting right back into the swing of things.

    Hi all

I got through all my other blood tests okay, and rewarded myself with chocolate for being a good girl and not fainting again . I haven't got any results yet - I have a FS appointment for Wednesday next week, which would be 13DPO if I had a normal length luteal phase.

But AF arrived today, at 8DPO, so I'll be CD6 by Wednesday, which I think is too late to start Clomid. I'm going to call the FS this morning to see if I can reschedule. That Singapore trip I ducked out of is happening right now, and my colleague is doing brilliantly in my stead; I'm so glad I didn't go.

Welcome Vivre! and Rustypants! Vivre, what does the acupuncturist do, specifically, for fertility? I've been thinking of trying it out. I had acupuncture to heal my knee a few years ago and it worked very well.

NAT, good luck with your timing for the next couple of months, then! I hope you're laying in stocks of wine and candles to seduce DH at the right time

Byline how exciting! London! How long will you be over there for? I'm glad your knee is healing well.

    Hi Roro,
Sorry wrote a long response and then when I clicked quick-reply it disappeared

I started going to an Acupuncturist because I was stressed at work, hot and bored (constantly), wasnt sleeping properly and had an average luteal phase of 8 days.

I went to the Chinese medicine lady and she asked loads of questions about me, my activities and body. She also looked at my tongue and took my pulse.

She diagnosed too much "yang" and started working on lowering my temp (as I was too hot) and improving my sleep. I started with weekly acupuncutry (word?) and Chinese herbs.
Both of the above have improved and this cycle she has been focusing on lengthening my luteal phase.
Today is Day 30 and DPO +12. For me this is some kind of world record for a luteal phase. Ive had cramps for last week (thought AFO was on the way) and back to no sleeping and slight nausea today so hoping for valid reasons for the symptoms. One thing I have learnt in 6 months is thats its easy to read too much into anything.
Im going to see her this afternoon for the first time in a fortnight so trying to resist the urge to test in the meantime.

Does Acupuncturist work? I dont yet have a valid pregnancy but feeling more positive and even having the 40 minutes to relax is good for the soul. I hope its helping the luteal phase but Im sure time will validate.

Well Im out for this month, and thats now 6 months of trying been and gone.im amazed how emotionally stressful this all is, for some bizarre reason when Flo arrive last night I had the best night sleep for about a week. Why does this happen?Ive made an appointment with my GP next weekend to see what happens next? For anyone who has been there, is it blood tests? FS appointments?Im in a mild way

Sorry to hear Vivre. For us the GP started with blood tests to check thyroid etc. and hubby went for sperm test. I also had a progesterone test at day 17 to test if I'd ovulated. Nothing major to start with but it gave us peace of mind when all came back okay. Good luck!
I know what you mean about sleeping well when AF came. It can take a lot out of you waiting. Symptom spotting can be impossible to stop. It's one reason why we took a break for a month or so. I needed a normal month where I didn't drive myself crazy waiting.
