Sorry to hear Wunsi. Was hoping for a birthday surprise for you. Well, enjoy the Easter festivities in style and prep for next month.

Wow Michelle, what a journey. It certainly takes patience and persistence doesn't it?!

Well I hope everyone has a great Easter. We're heading away on Good Friday to spend Easter in a beach shack with my brother and his family. Haven't seen them since our wedding last year so I'm very excited about that. I also collect my puppy on Tuesday so it's double excitement for me! I can practise being a patient parent when she's whimpering all night long....

Nat256, sounds like you have a nice Easter planned. A new puppy will be so wonderful. Sometimes I have to wonder whether I am a very normal TTC'er - when I see someone else's baby I'm actually not all that interested, but when i see a puppy I get all clucky and high pitched and just have to give it pats and cuddles. I get a bit jealous of the mother/baby relationship, but not of the baby itself, (if that makes sense).

Meg2 - me too! I went to see a friend's new bub the other day and hubby assumed it would make me so 'clucky' but I really am happy to give it back. I really want our own but I'm not at all someone who'd leap tall buildings to hold someone else's child Never have been unless it's my own nieces. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

Welcome green tea! I love your name - no prizes for guessing what you drink

And hi to Michelle too - I'm inspired by your strength and I hope you have good news soon.

AFM, I have an update: I've got an appointment with the fertility specialist! It's booked for 18 April which will probably be O day too, so now the waiting is twice as hard. I feel like saying to him look, here's my wallet and credit card and house title, I'll swap it all for couple of kids. Mind you, I've checked out the fees and we are practically doing that anyway.

    Happy Easter to everyone!

    Welcome Michelle and Green Tea!

Sorry to hear about AF wunsi... Good luck for your appointment on the 18th Roro, know what you mean about the waiting part! I've enjoyed reading everyone's stories and Nat so true about skipping the first marriage, both my parents are re-married and happy again took my dad 3 marriages to find his perfect wife.

DH and I had a great time in NZ catching up with family etc and seeing my little nieces made me excited for the future family we will have! Went and got my dye injection yesterday and they took some pictures of my thyroid which will be ready in a week and after that time I have to see the specialist to confirm results and get medication etc but they are pretty sure that I have graves disease. Can't wait to get my thyroid fixed so we can start ttc again!

Hi again all. Hope you had a good Easter break. We are home with our new bundle of puppy joy (our chocolate Lab pup) and I have to say the first sleepless night has me rethinking whether I'll handle being a parent!

Great to have you along Green Tea, welcome!

All the best for your thyroid results maplefern. At least it's all in the process of getting sorted. Is graves disease serious? Never heard of it. Does it make all thyroid related things go haywire?

Roro - good luck with the fertility specialist.

We have an appointment with ob booked for May but to be honest I'm thinking of postponing because I don't feel like we've given it a good go for the last 3 months so I'm not sure I can say we're having a problem, just being hopeless! I'm torn as to whether to go as all our results have come back good and I'm sure he'll just say "hey, how about you DTD???!!!" as a solution.

Congratulations on your new pup Nat256. I'm sure he/she will settle in in no time. Now you're in a good position to make your little puppy a content and relaxed member of your family, ready for when you bring home your next 'bundle of joy'. I, in contrast, have two 5-year-old, lovable, but completely unruly dogs who seem to have no respect for their human housemates/servants. My job at the moment is to instill some discipline into them and calm them down a bit so that when I finally bring home my bundle of joy, they don't knock me over in their excitement to see their new 'sibling' . So far I'm not having much luck.

Congratulations Nat! Have you had any sleep at all yet? . It's definitely good practice. Maybe we should all ask our DHs to wake us up at random intervals all night.... Actually, that would probably put them off TTC. Forget I said anything. What colour is the new pup? I have a picture of a chocolate brown dog in my head.

I'm with you, Meg2 - whenever I see or play with a baby it's the parent/child bond I'm envious of, really. I get to play with my two nephews fairly often, and they're great kids, but I don't want to be their mum.

CD 12 here and DH was a bit startled when I jumped him last night :-O. I'm trying out SMEP without telling him. We are going away for the weekend, after having had a very quiet Easter, so I have an excuse for increased attentiveness :-)

I had a lovely surprise at work today: one of my clients, who is a couple of years older than me, announced she is pregnant with twins! If she can do it, so can we all!

Oh forgot to say: Nat, don't cancel the OB appointment! You never know, merely having an appointment booked might make a BFP decide to show itself, just so you can say to the OB never mind, we got it sorted.
