Fear not, Nat, this is the internet, where at least one of your friends is always awake

Pottering here too yesterday - I did a bunch of gardening. I can keep basil and thyme alive now but the coriander keeps giving up. I think it's getting too wet. Any ideas? You're good at gardening right?

We had a family lunch today for my SIL's birthday so I got to play with my nephews. Cute little rascals.

We do St Pat's Day here, so I'll be down the pub on Saturday night. Then it's my birthday a couple of data later - argh. 38. Getting ever closer to 40. I'm due to O on my birthday. DH has been told what I want :-P.

Well I have been relaxing most of the weekend, have had the worst cold since Wednesday afternoon, think it my be from the rubella, mumps and measles injection.... It was the most beautiful day on Saturday our friends came round the guys went out surfing and my girlfriend kept me company staying in and watching movies with me. Would have loved to be at the beach with the guys though! We went out for dinner at the local surf club which was nice, good to get out of the house for a bit until just about falling asleep in my plate

Nothing planned for St Patty's day, have to work on Saturday, maybe will have to organise something fun to entertain the guests...

Thanks ladies! Nice to know the whole world isn't away this long weekend (probably helps that's it's only in SA).

RoRo - I try to garden a bit and I have had my first success with coriander since getting a bigger herb bed. I know it sounds crazy but what's happened is the coriander pops up each time in a different place. So I think the wind blows the seeds and they land elsewhere. When I used to grow it in pots it never re-sprouted and I think the seeds just weren't landing directly below the plant. Now it lands somewhere in the herb bed. Apart from that I don't know. I don't have a lot of luck with basil here. It lasts such a short time before going to seed and never re-sprouts itself. Shame coz I LOVE it!

Maplefern- sorry to read that you've been unwell. Hope you get lots of pampering!

Well, hubby came home and was out weeding the yard in the dark last night! I think he might have a case of the fishing trip guilts We have a house inspection tomorrow (our house is on the market) so today we're getting ready for that then heading to the farm to round up some sheep and take them to the butcher in the next town. I LOVE days when we get to be on the farm together!

Default Frustrated at having to wait TTC when I'm also being told the clock is ticking

    Hi,

I'm new to this thread. I'm 35 (DD is also 35) and was planning to start TTC in May.

Maplefern, sorry to hear about your medical issues - I can empathise! I went to the doctor for a pre-conception check-up last month and discovered I have low B12 and low thyroid function. Supposed to go back for another blood test mid-March to confirm the results and see if vitamin supplements have improved my B12 levels.

I read in one of your posts that you've been referred to a specialist - is this required before you can get thyroxine medication? I was hoping the GP would be able to prescribe it so I could start taking it asap. We were hoping to start TTC in May, so I'm a bit bummed to hear that it may take a few months to get the B12 and thyroid problems fixed.

    Default Whoops!

Whoops, think I meant DH? (Still trying to figure out what all these acronyms mean!)

Forgot to mention that this will be our 1st, so I feel like time is of the essence!

Welcome Gentoo! Yes it is frustrating isn't it, the doctor said that I was low in T2 and T3. Now that you mention that, asked the doctor what the specialist will do and she said that he would probably just give me some medication and was thinking later if it was medication why didn't she prescribe it. I suppose it is good to get a second opinion that specialises in the right area.

Lucky that you got all of your tests before you starting ttc instead of finding out 6 months after trying like us, wish I had thought of that!

Nat how exciting finally moving to the farm permanently, hope all goes well with the sale of your house.

Welcome newbee! There's some of us that are part of this post - reading it every day but only pop in a comment here and there!

Well it's funny how you start to over analyse the signs of pregnancy! Yesterday & today I have sore boobs! That's it - nothing more nothing less Too early to test so playing the waiting game which is kinda fun but also torture! Some months come and go but others there's the extra hope!

Great as usual to hear all your goings on.

Keep at it (so to speak!)

Just got a positive OPK so we're officially back trying after a month's break. I've probably left it a couple of days too late (my thermometer stopped working and I can't buy another one in my town so didn't know what my cycle was doing) but better late than never! Let's hope we have 'begin again' luck!!
