Yes that is true I got mine at 11 yrs in NZ, maybe it only lasts into your 20's...

Actually Roro was just thinking lately have not had a drink in a while so brought a nice bottle of NZ Sav and had a couple of glasses last night with my dinner.

Off to get my ultrasound tomorrow morning, fingers crossed all goes well

Thanks for letting us know the progesterone side effects Roro. I agree that I'd think the doc would let you know. Oh well, I suppose you'll know for next time. It will make pregnancy symptom spotting even crazier though

Good luck with your ultrasound Maplefern. Hope it's all the very best news!

AF arrived for me today so I'm on day 1 of the cycle. I nearly had to put my foot down about hubby's fishing trip next weekend but he's breathing a sigh of relief that it won't fall in our fertile time so he's able to go. He's never taken so much interest in my cycle until it affected his fishing!!

Isn't it funny how much more interesting one's cycle is to DH and all concerned now!

I'm in a sticky situation at work: I have been asked to run a big workshop overseas in April. Ordinarily I'd jump at it - it's what I do, I'm best placed to do it, and the participants are only going to be available in one place at that one time. But it means being away from home for four days. And you can guess which four days. :-(. I don't want to lose a month of trying just for a workshop. But it's hard to tell my client that no, I can't do it but I'd rather not say why. Any ideas?

(hopefully I'll be UTD by then and having the much easier problem of running a multi day workshop while battling morning sickness!).

Ooooh...that's a tough one RoRo. I know what you mean. It would take wild horses to drag me away at that time these days. Can you plead family commitment that you simply can't get out of? Are you sure they won't re-schedule the whole conference for you?? I'm not much help sorry. Any chance you can take your fella with you??

I would suggest something along the lines of what Nat said. Say you were actually going to apply for leave then as it's your grandmother's 90th or cousin's wedding. At least you would get a few days off work at an important time.

Funny enough I am now in the same situation. I was told at work today that I would be going to London in August or September. My first thought was, what if I'm pregnant? Would I have to pay back momey for airfares or anything? I just said, oh sounds great. I should have said, oh no long lost couisn Lulu is getting married in Greenland on my grandmother's 90th birthday. To celebrate both events, we are going to cruise there and it will take all off August and September so it doesn't matter if you don't have exact dates yet as I am unavailable for the whole 2 months.

My laid back month is now starting to not be laid back. Based on the last 3 months, I should be coming up to my fertile time in the next few days. I am know itching to take my temps and do an opk.

Roro you should take DH with you, we have a few conferences at our resort and I've seen a few people come with their partners, one will go to the conference and the other just enjoys the holiday. You could even take a few extra days off with your dh and have a baby making holiday

Nat lucky your DH isn't going away in your fertile period, not something that I have to worry about at the moment...

Went and got my ultrasound done on my thyroid on Tuesday and of course the room was full with pregnant laddies!! Even heard a babies heart beat in the other room while getting my ultrasound. Was thinking that should be me! Had a joke with the lady and told her that next time I have an ultrasound it will be for a baby ! Good news though, no lumps or bumps, horary! Went to doctors next day and she has referred me to a thyroid specialist who will probably give me medication, see him on the 27th. Also got my jab for Measles, Mumps and Rubella, the nurse said that kids get it done at 6 months and 4 years now and that a lot of ladies have had to get their injection done again..... Soo counting down to ttc'íng again! Doc said three months just to be on the safe side but thinking May to start again as ovulation usually occurs around the middle of the month.

byline, funny! It's so great to hear that I'm not the only one who has these troubles. I feel like I'm in some sort of time warp because everything ends in my mind with "but what if I'm pregnant then?". Its affecting my whole year!!! It's even our turn for Christmas this year (Yes 9 months time and I'm already thinking about it!!) and I'm all worried about whether to let people know we'll have it here at the farm because "what if I'm pregnant then?" And I'll be hot and bothered and there'll be a house full of people and....and....and.... AAAAHHHH!

I know my luck and if I just stop worrying about it and go ahead and plan things, I'll be doing something obscure at the worst possible time in my pregnancy and be cursing myself that I didn't think it through better. Oh dear...can't win, gotta laugh.

just saw you are in the same situation too Byline, that far away is harder.... Cruise idea sounds like a good plan.

Know what you mean about the temptation of testing, mine are sitting in the bathroom for another couple of months....

Great news that the lumps and bumps aren't there Maplefern. That's fantastic and I hope the specialist gives you a good, clear plan. In the meantime I hope you can enjoy the time, keep positive and bring on May!!!

So, anyone have news? It's a long weekend here and everyone I know is away so I've been pottering around getting a few things done but am running out of ways to entertain myself. Thankfully hubby is on his way home this evening so I'll have company tomorrow.

Does anyone else celebrate St Patrick's Day?? We have a party every year for it so I've been doing the cooking for that ready for next Saturday. We change what the party is every year and we've had murder mysteries, woolshed parties, formal green etc. This year it's a leprechaun dinner so we're all dressing as leprechauns and having a sit down meal. We only have about 15 coming this year as it's sit down. We turn our old farm cottage into "The Shickered Shamrock Tavern" and have it there. It's a bit of fun.

My hubby's family are Irish so he's always loved all things Irish and it's a good time of year for a party, after the Christmas madness and before winter.

Well, that's my news. Write and entertain me if you're around. If not, I'll be Nigel no friends for a while longer....
