My imaginary symptoms for today include disconcerting volumes of saliva. It could be caused by my head cold though.

Well I went to the doctor today, might have to put my ttc on hold for a few months Test results came back and got a low result for my thyroid which she said might be causing us trouble ttc.... Doctor referred me to be booked in for an ultrasound for Tuesday just in case I have a lump on my thyroid, if that is the case have to go for an operation to get it removed or if there are no lumps I have to visit a special thyroid specialist to look into it further. Also I seem to be not immune for Rubella anymore, had an injection for Rubella at 11yrs old but it has worn off! So may have to be immunised again, but it stays active in my system for 3 months and we won't be able to ttc during that time. So my doctor got me to get some more blood tests to check immunity for rubella again and to check to make sure I'm not pregnant. If pregnant will still get thyroid checked etc but no rubella injection. Kind of hit me later on and burst into tears, lucky I was on my way to Dad's house Daddys are always good when you're down, dh has been good too, I'm a lucky lady. Will keep you all up to date on my results keep your for me!

Oh maplefern! How awful for you! I'm glad your Dad and DH are both there for you and I hope you're getting all the hugs you need.

Hopefully the thyroid issue is quickly fixed. One of my friends had this and she now has two lovely little girls, so I know it's fixable! Don't give up hope!

The rubella thing is frustrating isn't it. I had to put off starting TTC because of it - I went to the doc around the time I was planning to start, mentioned it, and she tested me and jabbed me. But she told me I only had to wait two AFs - and the scientific papers I read later say there's no evidence of a problem, they're just being over cautious. I'd ask for confirmation of the three months if I were you.

    Anyway hugs again to you.

Thanks Roro yes it is fixable and it is good to know now why we were having trouble ttc. Hopefully we can fix it soon and have a bouncing baby on the way!

Thanks for your information about rubella, might ask my doctor again, hopefully this blood tests come back and say I'm still actually immunised.

Oh Maplefern...that's difficult news for you and I hope the time to docs, specialists etc goes super quickly and you can get back on track. I completely understand the tears on that one and I'm glad you have such great support. I also send you all the support and positive vibes from afar.

When hold ups happen I'm trying to remind myself that the right little one is waiting for us. Whenever it happens we will understand why we had to wait, to get exactly the bub who was meant to be born to us. Same for you. He/she will be at the end of this, and that will make it all worth it.

Thanks Nat, hoping too that we can get this fixed quickly too. I went straight to the testing place next door to get bloods after seeing doctor and while waiting booked appointment for ultrasound, got organised straight away!

Thanks for your support and all your kind wise words, I know that right little one is waiting for us too, can't wait for that day

Well, hubby finally went for swimmer test and blood tests this morning. As I've said, it's quite a drive to get there so it's been difficult to organise with work. I'm pleased that it's done now though and we should have the results on both by the middle of next week.

I feel a bit nervous that something might be wrong as my tests have come back normal so far. I REALLY hope that there isn't anything for either of us and we just need to be patient.
