NAT sorry to hear your news. Hey I'm sure you probably have checked this, but are you sure you are ovulating? Have you heard of Vitex? It's kinda like natures Clhomid. It might be worth looking into? I hear that chinese acupuncture helps as well.

    Welcome MinnieP and Bubby4us

PlasticineAlly, it’s easy for me to say don’t worry, but I know I would be the same as you. Avoid Google though. It will only give you things to worry about.

Nat. My partner started taking Menevit this month. He asked if he should take anything and I suggested it. I said it can’t hurt and it may help. I started taking Blackmores conceive well a few months ago. I don’t know if it is a coincidence, but my cycles are now regular (32 - 33 days). They were all over the place previously. I don’t know if I am ovulating because I am not charting, but I seem to get AF 14 days after the positive on the opk. I am going to start charting next month.

I doubt I will be in the hunt this month. I got food poisoning on the day I ovulated and was pretty sick for a few days.

Hi Bubby4us, you're very welcome to join in. We'd love to have you along. Good luck!!

Thanks byline. I have been taking the Conceive Well and but might look at the Menevit for hubby.

Naboo - I'm sure I'm ovulating really regularly. I chart and it's very consistent and easy to tell. Also the OPKs are always clear and fit with the charting. My cycles have been super regular (which I'm really pleased about) so I think so far we may just be unlucky. Because it seems that I am ovulating regularly, that's why hubby is keen to make sure his part is okay too. I suppose it's just another thing we can try to make sure we're covering.

Nat, I'm so sorry It's hard not to get your hopes up isn't it.

My DH is taking zinc, which is suppose to be good for swimmers. Certainly can't hurt. He had a test years ago (in his first marriage) and swimmers were fine then.

We had a long conversation last night and set a date at which we will seek medical help if nothing's happened: early March. That's only four cycles of proper trying, which might seem too few but we are very aware of how old we are, and we want more than one kid.

    Hugs to you!

Thank you for the welcomes :-)

I'm a serial POAS tester so have just put in my order for 100 haha
And this time I'm going to try pinpoint when I'm ovulating with OPKs. I am charting and taking my temp everyday too. Obsessed much, yep :-) tell me I'm not alone! Taking EPO and need to get another prescription for folic acid... Gosh when I put it all on the table I sound nuts haha

Thanks RoRo. We have also decided to seek medical help now. I'll start making appointments this week. We have only tried for 4 months also but when I went for a pre-conception check up before we started the doc said to get checked out after 3 months if nothing had happened due to our age. So I'm going to go ahead. Apparently the specialists in our area prefer this than find that it's too late.
I feel particularly downhearted that we may run out of time for more than one child also.
I think this month is the first time it's hit hubby that it might not be as simple as he'd thought so he's starting to get serious too. So I'll mope for another day, then kick into gear and get started on finding solutions

Nat, I had the opposite experience with my husband - it turns out he actually didn't expect us to succeed without help! He was surprised we got as far as a chemical.

I'm O'ing tomorrow, as far as I can tell, so he's REALLY going to be surprised tonight :-)

I'm keen to hear how you get on with the specialists.

My hubby is in for a surprise tonight too. Of course I'm not going to tell him that as he works hard for brownie points during the day and there's a few more to be earned yet
