    Unhappy No more co sleeping...

Well DD has decided she doesn't want to co sleep with me anymore. She's only 5 months old but if she is in the bed with me now she just kicks at me and whinges to be by herself.
Put her in her cot (in my room) and she sleeps all night.

I just feel really quite sad about it- kind of rejected I guess...

Do you think it could be a phase at all?? It just seems really early IYKWIM...
    I miss my baby...

Belinda, could you try a side-car? (You might already have done so, my apologies if I'm sounding like a ****, because my brain is still stuck in my placenta )

Curtis sometimes will not settle with me, he kicks at me and waves his arms around. He grizzles and thrashes his head about. I'm quietly and calmly cuddling him, but he just won't have it. So I put him in the side-car bit, in "his" side of the bed (or at the moment I just put him on the other side of the bed, now that it's just me and him in there) and he settles almost instantly. It's like he's saying "mum, I love ya, I really do, but FFS give me some SPACE woman!!!"

But it doesn't happen all the time, it's just every now and then he needs space to go to sleep by himself. I follow his lead, and most of the time he's happy to sleep snuggled up to me. But sometimes he just needs to spread-eagle in the bed and sleep by himself (gets that from his father ) And when that happens I just wait for him to go to sleep then I hold his hand (and sometimes I scootch him over to be next to me again )

Thank you so much everyone for your replies- what would I do without bubhub??

Mel- I don't think she could be hot because we have our air con up here now as it is already getting steamy and she usually kicks the covers off... I usually worry if she's cold! But thank you anyway for the idea =]

Queen yeah I did do the side car first off, but there was still a big space between the bed and the cot and she kept rolling into it!! Did anyone else have that problem?? (The bottom of the bed frame and the cot are quite wide...)

I'm sort of coming to terms with it now after reading how many of you are having trouble getting your much older bubs OUT of your bed... So I'll just take her lead and be happy with sleeping with my hand in hers or on her chest... She can decide what she wants and if she wants to come back with me then yay!! But if not I'll be ok with that too...

    Thanx again girls xox
