I think the two rules are funny. I can't see anything offensive about them.

"It's horrible being with a pregnant woman. Talk about turn you life upside down. That attractive, lovable woman that you decided to be with has turned into this emotional, demanding, hormonal nut job that you just can't keep up with. One second she wants cuddles, the next she's telling you to get the f... away from her. She wants you to get the baby's room ready. It's not due for seven more months, but it needs to be ready NOW. All conversation revolves around the baby - baby this, baby that. All your friends seem to have forgotten you exist as everyone pays attention to the growing bulge in her belly! You're expected to not go out on Friday nights now because she's tired easily - you haven't caught up with the boys for weeks!

Yep, it's hard being with a pregnant woman. So I've created a set of rules to adhere to, to get you through this tough time:

Rule #1: The only thing worse than being with a pregnant woman is BEING a pregnant woman. No matter how tough you think you have it, she has it tougher than you.

Rule #2: In case of doubt, always refer to Rule #1

Remember these rules and you'll find that the 9 months will just fly by and at the end of it, you two will be that much closer for it."

Good isn't it! It's called "While She's Expecting" written by a bloke for blokes to help handle the pregnancy. Wish more guys would read it! I had a copy at some point but buggered if I know where it is.

Just an aside, I wonder how many of the girls read the title of this thread and come on here looking to be all angry! All of them?

looking at the thread title i thought i was going to be uber mad! i thought you were going to bish about pregnant women, and thought you were brave for posting. then i saw it was about a book, so i was less mad, then i started to read it and was furious until i got to the rules. then i thought straight away that my DH NEEDS this book haha.

i think its great... although im not the steriotypical hormonal pregnant bish every one thinks i am/should be.(although i do have my moments) im actually quite nice, happy and glowey (is that even a word?) im much happier now than i was before being pregnant.

i really feel for men having to put up with us though, we do change a fair bit once pregnant (both physical and mentally) and i CAN understand why some/ most men would feel this way.

thanks for sharing, i will show my DH this thread tonight (he will hate you for that haha)

My hubby read an absolutely hilarious book called 'so you're going to be a dad'
It had a similar gist to that one. He laughed so much I stole it and read it too!
