Default Sucks to be with a pregnant woman.

Can't remember this word for word, but I'll share the gist of this book I read:

"It's horrible being with a pregnant woman. Talk about turn you life upside down. That attractive, lovable woman that you decided to be with has turned into this emotional, demanding, hormonal nut job that you just can't keep up with. One second she wants cuddles, the next she's telling you to get the f... away from her. She wants you to get the baby's room ready. It's not due for seven more months, but it needs to be ready NOW. All conversation revolves around the baby - baby this, baby that. All your friends seem to have forgotten you exist as everyone pays attention to the growing bulge in her belly! You're expected to not go out on Friday nights now because she's tired easily - you haven't caught up with the boys for weeks!

Yep, it's hard being with a pregnant woman. So I've created a set of rules to adhere to, to get you through this tough time:

Rule #1: The only thing worse than being with a pregnant woman is BEING a pregnant woman. No matter how tough you think you have it, she has it tougher than you.

Rule #2: In case of doubt, always refer to Rule #1

Remember these rules and you'll find that the 9 months will just fly by and at the end of it, you two will be that much closer for it."

Good isn't it! It's called "While She's Expecting" written by a bloke for blokes to help handle the pregnancy. Wish more guys would read it! I had a copy at some point but buggered if I know where it is.

Just an aside, I wonder how many of the girls read the title of this thread and come on here looking to be all angry! All of them?

Well, actually I opened this thread because I happen to like your posts

But stereotypes re pregnant women can get annoying. I wasn't "moody" whatsoever during my pregnancy, I had extremely happy hormones. I don't think I've ever smiled as much in my life as when I was pregnant I LOVED IT (birth, not so much *cringe*).

Same goes for me with PMS. Most of the time I'd barely even know I have it. So if someone mentions PMS I'm like "go away a$$hole", not because I have PMS, but because they annoy me!

I wasn't angry - cos I misread it. Lol. I just read 'sucks to be a pregnant lady' and thought damn straight it does.

I'm not a moody pregnant lady, wasn't with jasper either, I think I'm pretty chilled.

And that aside, I do feel a bit sorry for men in pregnancy & labour. I would rather be pregnant than be on the outside.

*Ahem*.. yep, I opened this thread up expecting to be !

(And yep, I'm a pregnant woman! And probably a pretty good example of the type of pregnant woman you've described!).

All I can say is - damn lucky you put the rules up! All I thought when I read the title was "WhAt?! Try BEING a pregnant woman, you prat!!" LOL

I'm still offended and angry. Glad my partner wouldn't go for a stereotypical piece of sh#t like that

Why do you do this to me Gluttonforpunishment!!

Let's just keep this calm and witty as it was intended!

Let's just agree that while the pregnancy can be trying the end result is soooooooooo worth it.

Stay cool this summer all you expecting people!

    Regards
    BBB
