Hi I am starting B.Laws next year and I am starting to freak out trying to imagine how I am going to keep up with a 1 year old who wants constant attention!!!

OP thanks for opening this thread its a great idea!!! I think once we all start we are going to need all the support we can get.

I completed a B.Social Science (Psych Major) a few years back and I know I struggled balancing uni with a full time job and DS is way more than a full time job

I am finally doing my diploma in Beauty Therapy on campus through Ellabache. I have already obtained my certificates III and IV in Beauty Therapy, but the diploma was put on hold when I had my first son. I think I need to brush up on my skills, it's been a long time since I have done anything apart from being a mum.

I thought a chat thread for us 2012 studying parents would be a good idea, atleast we would all have something in common

So who else is studying and what are you studying?
Me too. I've got my cert iv in beauty and I've enrolled to get my dip and to re-do my prac subjects to brush up on my skills.
I'm wanting to start working from home. That's my goal

Glad I have someone that will be studying the same subjects as me. My longterm goal is to set up a salon from home aswell, hopefully once my kids are schoolaged I will be able to get the ball rolling. When do you start?

I love this thread, it is so motivating!

I received a Uni offer today for undergraduate nursing with LaTrobe in Shepp where I live - YAY!

The graduate nursing course I also applied for is 2 hrs from where I live, so even if I get a later offer I will probaby elect to start at undergrad Yr1 instead of grad Yr2.

(It think it will be way too hard to commute, keep up with a breastfed toddler, 2 school aged kids and get good grades!)

So it is another year added to my journey to become a midwife, but achieves the balance of babies, children, partner and study.

Very happy today - congrats to others who have received early offers!
