Default Looking for surrogate in Perth

    Hi,

My name is Leanne and i am a mummy to a beautiful little boy born in 2009. Before falling pregnant with my son, i had 6 early miscarrages. My little man was born at 29 weeks (just!) he had 6 weeks in neonatal intensive care at King Edwards Perth. Once my bubba was born i was told by the consultant that i have Antiphospolipid Syndrome (APS), Lupus Anticoagluant and Lupus SLE. This all came as a bit of a shock, especially when i was later told that if i was ever to fall pregnant again i would be lucky to keep it, and if i did it would probably be another early birth or i might not make it.

My condition worsened this year and in the end we had to make the heart wrenching decision to have a hystorectomy. Although my condition has improved 110% i feel robbed that i am unable to have another baby just to complete my family.

We are just starting this journey and are hoping to find an amazing, selfless lady to help my family.

Thank you so much for taking time to read this

    much love

    The Scott Family xx

Default other options....... it is possible.

    Hi

I have just been through the surrogacy process (to be the surrogate) for a friend of mine who has had 12 failed IVF cycles.
Let me tell you, the process is long(over a year), expensive and not very well run.
We did our 1st attempt and didn't get to transfer as all the eggs retrieved did not fertilize. My friend was then told that her only other option was to use donor eggs as her eggs were obviously very bad quality.

My friend went into a deep depression and gave up all hope. She had enquirer on the internet about adoption and met a woman online who had been through the same thing as she had, multiple IVF failures, and been told by docs, here in OZ, that she will never have kids. My friend went to meet her and, guess what......... She is presently pregnant with her 3rd child.

She discovered a fertility clinic in Malaysia that is doing fantastic things. This woman has had 3 kids through this clinic.

So my friend, willing to try anything, went there, for a consultation, and they immediately picked up why she has not been able to fall pregnant, fixed it, did 1 IVF cycle and she is currently 20weeks pregnant with twins, using her own eggs, that were perfect quality. Docs here had never picked up this problem, that would always have not allowed her body to hold a pregnancy.......... I think that is absolutely disgusting!!!!

I know egg quality is not your issue, SLE is. My friend, while she was there met a woman, also being treated at the clinc, who suffered from Lupus, who has battled to stay pregnant. The doctor there is wonderful and she is enabled woman, with Lupus, to have healthy pregnancies.

Anyway, just before you spend a huge amount of money on surrogacy, get really frustrated at all the red tape and loose your faith in this reproductive industry here in oz, this might be something for you to look into. I'm sure you would love to carry your baby yourself........ and it might just be possible for you to do it. This doctor looks at you as a person, not a one fits all.

I can get this doctors contact details if you want, you can have a chat with her, tell her your story, and perhaps she can help, as she has helped so many woman.

    All the best

Hi Scott Family, I hope that you find someone who can help, they are out there, they are just hard to find.

Cathanne, I think in your keenness to help you missed the hysterectomy bit, but if you can find somewhere that can undo a hysterectomy I would love to know as I will be pounding on the door waiting to sign up

    Default ooooopppppppps!

ooops! yes you are correct! sorry about that.

Believe it or not, I am in the process of being diagnosed with SLE ........ just been through a really rough patch and my brain is still in my bum.... cant think at the moment..... so sorry.

I think this clinic does surrogacy too, with no horrible process to go through. Keep it in mind if you get to the point where you feel as if you have no more options........ options are good.

Sorry about the lack of my brain!01
