Default Unexpectedly pregnant & have eaten wrong!

Hi all, I've just found out I'm pregnant, it came as a big surprise so I haven't been eating pregnancy safe foods and I'm sick with worry over it.
With our first baby we were all set up to get pregnant but this time we had no idea!

As far as we can tell I'm about 6 weeks pregnant and here is what I can remember that I've eaten that is not pregnancy safe:

Week 1 - Egg with runny yolk
Week 2 - Egg with runny yolk + Brie on crackers
Week 3 - 2x Darrell Lee Liqueur filled chocolates every day of this week! (They were a present) + tall Shandy (half Beer, half Lemonade)
Week 4 - Raw mushrooms in a salad + medium rare steak
Week 5 - Undercooked egg with runny yolk

I'm so worried and although I know I can't do a thing about it, it's no consolation. It's so important to me to make sure I give them the best start possible and I feel like I've really let this one down as I didn't know he/she was in there!

Can anyone give me any advice as to what damage I've done?
    Thanks so much.

I found out I was pregnant at 17 weeks.

In that time I binge drank, ate soft cheeses and deli hams, and god knows what else that I wasn't supposed to.

DD was born at 39+3 at a healthy 3.9kg - though we blame her spirited nature on her early introduction to alcohol.

I certainly wouldn't think you have any reason at all to panic. Good luck with your pregnancy!

Your not allowed to eat raw mushrooms?? If ur only 6 weeks I'm GuESsINg your ok- like the same with alcohol, the placenta is only attaching itself around this time so anything uv had shouldn't have effected the embryo yet.

    Don't quote me tho.

The big problem with soft cheese and runny eggs is listerosis. I think the actualy chances of bub getting this are really super slim though (12 per 100,000) according to my research. I would try to not worry too much - stressing too much about it is more likely to do damage than what you've ingested. I mean I was pregnant over Christmas and New Year and didn't know it! So lots of cold meats, and a couple drinks. Plus a few painkillers like Nurofen. DS is perfect. and congrats on your BFP!

You and bub will be perfect. If you were to be sick from raw egg it would be instant salmonella poisoning. Relax and enjoy the rest of the ride.

Just think of all the millions upon millions of healthy bubs who were born long before anyone knew about all these "dangers" that they make us stress about these days.

Don't worry! Runny yolks are fine, it's raw egg you have to avoid. A small beer of Brie and some beer in a shandy won't do you any harm! I had three vinos the night before I found out I was PG!

I think people get a bit hung up on this stuff. It's not about the food itself as much as the bacteria. If the food is fresh and has been stored and handled properly it's fine. So having it at home is usually fine. I had a ham salad sandwich for lunch twice this week that I made at home and I would NEVER eat a steak that wasn't medium rare. Why bother otherwise?? Again, if it's good quality there isn't a lot to worry about. Obviously avoid buying meat and salads etc from dodgy places or where they make it hours in advance.

People tend to get listeria hysteria and it's honestly unbelievably rare.

I think chocolate liqueurs will be fine too. Hardly any alcohol in them at all.
