Congrats Gracefilled on the arrival of your twin boys - they look very cute and love the names. Wishing all of you the very best, especially as far as not having to wait too long to take them home with you!!!

And huge congrats also to Jools on the arrival of Scarlett - love the name, very pretty. Hopefully we might get to see a pic??

Just thinking, it will be interesting to hear everyone's birthing stories once a few more little bubbas start arriving.... :-)

Ok so who's experiencing all these painful pelvic twinges?? Mine are getting stronger and stronger. Very dull ache down there all day today too. Does that mean things are progressing as they should? Maybe bubs is just moving into position?

I'm kinda scared I'm gonna go early but I don't know the signs of Pre labour or just normal pains??

Congrats Jools on your baby girl. Lovely name, so happy for you

Gemini85 - I am also suffering with pelvic pain at the moment. Everytime I turn over in bed it feels painful. If I get out of the car and my legs are too far apart then it feels painful. Also, if I sit or lay down for too long then it hurts when I get up. I think it is to do with relaxin causing our ligaments to become more flexible and maybe we've stretched them too far and damaged them a bit. All I know is that I am getting more and more uncomfortable by the day. The baby has been playing around for ages now (at least 3 hours) and I am in serious need of a rest!

Gemini and klong - I think what you might be experiencing could be either the normal pain from the relaxin hormone loosening ligaments etc as you already mentioned, or it might be worth mentioning to your OB/midwife/etc, as it can be something called SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction) - here's a link to a description:

Good remedy/aid for pelvic pain are those SRC Pregnancy Shorts - they really help to provide support for your back and pelvis - or just about any brand of the "compression/recovery" shorts should do the trick.

I slept on the couch last night so that my back was supported by the back of the couch and I was laying on my side and woke up this morning with less pelvic pain. I put a pillow between my legs so I was fully supported all round and it really made a difference. Don't really want to sleep on the couch for the next 8 weeks but might do it every few days so I get a better sleep at least part of the week.

I've got a midwife appointment on Friday so will mention it to her and see what she says.

Congrats again to Womble, Gracefilled & Jools. Keep the pictures coming, they are super cute.

I've updated the Roll Call - who is next......???

    AFM -
Will know next Friday if I have to book in for a C-Section due to my silly PP, other than that, just attenting birth classes, which are scaring the pants off me... and of course getting everything purchased as set up. With these early births it's made me get thinking about washing some baby clothes...

Not the most flattering of mum but I think the boys look precious.... First kangaroo cuddle with both boys - such an emotional day yesterday
