Gracefilled - that will be a lot of work, but also super rewarding. 3 little ones to get cuddles from and smooth all over . Do you have lots of family and friends close by to help out if you need in the beginning?

Also ladies I think I updated the roll call with everyone's latest stats and dates - if it's wrong lemme know and I'm happy to fix from my bed

    Hi all!!!

Well, it looks like good news (so far) for us.... had our HB scan this morning - showed one perfect little sac, and a little blob with a good strong HB (144) and measuring exactly where it should be....so, we seem to be on track for August 29 due date...
I am so relieved at the moment I can't even tell you. I know there are still plenty of hurdles and milestones to get through, but for some reason it didn't feel real or like it was actually happening until now.

    Bebehvala
    - would you mind adding me to your rollcall at all??

    Samarasmum
    - limbo land must suck at the moment....I cannot even begin to understand how frustrated you must be feeling at the moment. All I can say is we are definitely thinking of you, sending sticky vibes and your way. It's never over til it's over.

Gracefilled.. - I can't even begin to imagine what 3 under 2 would be like...!!! A lot of hard work, I think, but a real blessing at the same time.
My husband's cousin had 2 under 2, and when the youngest was only about 9 months old, accidentally got pregnant with twins, who were born about 1-2 months before the eldest was 3...so they had 4 under 3. THATS NUTS.
    I know I couldn't do it.

Greetings and best wishes to all

Gracefilled - Kseds story just reminded me of a woman I used to work with before I had DS. Her son and DIL had a baby and when she was 3 months old, DIL rang her MIL in tears and said she was pregnant with triplets (naturally)! So the first one was only 12 months when the triplets were born. But they are SO cute together

I went and saw a friend who has just moved here from QLD. She has a 4 week old son. Luckily my DS wasn't there today as he is in daycare, but he was so tiny and quiet (DS is a bit of a boofhead)! Didn't make me clucky though as I am a little bit scared on newborns. I remember when DS was that small, I was always terrified of dropping him! It just makes me think "oh my gosh - I can't believe I'm doing it all again"... I think it's different when it's your own though - I can't really remember because the first 3 months are a bit of a blur...

Hi all - do you mind if I join you guys?

I'm due August 29 (after 3 Stim cycles).

I was just wondering if anyone else was still on progesterone pressaries? I'm on 400mg twice a day and wondering how long I should take them for. I saw one OB (who I'm not going to continue with) and she just shrugged and said maybe stop taking them at 3 months (but surely there should be some testing behind that decision??).

    I'm currently 7 weeks.

Thanks for any advice and good luck everyone!

    xx

Holdingmybreath - congrats and welcome! I stopped taking my pessaries 4 days before my BT because I thought it was them that was making me extra tied and extra emotional. I was convinced it was a negative, but it turned out I was pregnant. Anyway, last pregnancy I think I stopped taking them after my positive BT. I remember the nurse saying that some women stay on them to 12 wk. If you want peace of mind you should probably keep taking it til 12 wks, but the I think your body should take over. But then, I'm not an expert, so can you ask the nurse at your clinic?

Holdingmybreath, Welcome! I just saw my FS again yesterday and he told me to stay on them another week or so (till 12weeks) then to wean off them by taking them on alternating days for a week because you shouldn't stop abruptly. He said that by now (I'm 10w5d) the placenta is producing way more progesterone and the pessaries are hardly adding anything. I hope that helps but you should really ask your FS about it, I find they know more about that stuff than the OB.

Kseds, SO glad to hear all is fine. I totally know what you mean about it not feeling real. I had a scan yesterday, and even saw little bub moving, but still can't realise it's growing inside me. DH couldn't understand that I wasn't more excited, so I tried to explain to him that i'll probably realise what's happening when I get a belly, or feel kicks or somthing.

Bebehvala, I'd love to be on the roll call, but I'm not too sure of my due date. According to my calculations, and the one I did on a IVF online calculator, I'm due Aug 5th, but my FS keeps calculating transfer day as "O" day, saying my fake LMP is then nov2, so my due date is Aug 9th. I'm very confused, maybe we'll get better measurement at my NT scan in 2 weeks, but in the meantime, I think I'll stick to Aug 5th. Thanks.

I had another scan yesterday, where we got to see bub kicking its legs around, it was really amazing! It was my first abdominal scan, it measured a little smaller than my dates but Dr said abdominal scans are not as accurate at this stage as internals, so he wasn't worried at all, and was very happy with everything. I have to make an appointment with the scanning unit for my NT scan in 2 weeks. I can't wait to be over the 12 week mark, and I can't wait to have a proper long scan (all the ones I've had so far at my FS were like 2min just to check all is ok).

Hi all on my phone so just popping in to say hi!

Hope you ate all keeping sane lol

My spotting has returned but I also feel crap! So bloated I swear I look 15 weeks already with just the crap I'm eating. Eating stops me feeling sick so I can't win!

Just tossing up public or private. I loved my private ob with DS pregnancy but the hospital and his birth was terrible (emergency CS under GA!) so looking for a VBAC. Off to GP next week to discuss!

Smootch - I get what you mean about the bloated thing! I went private with DS but had a bad experience, so decided to go through a birth centre. When I was on the waiting list I also put my name down with the public hospital. As well as my horrible experience ( with lots of intervention & an OB i didn't like) I also found out that you only get $200 Medicare rebate. Last time I had reached the safety net and got 80% back, but that was before they changed it..

Hi ladies, I've had such a busy week at work and I feel like I've missed so much.

Amps - So sorry to hear your awful news. Just wanted to say that this time around I did accupuncture and it worked for me so I would definitely give it a try if I was you. When I was trying to get pregnant naturally after my first ectopic, 7 months went by and I still wasn't pregnant so I had accupuncture and got pregnant first month after having 1 session a week for 3 weeks. I had another ectopic but it still got me pregnant so there's definitely something about it that works. Good luck.

Samarasmum - The waiting is so crappy isn't it. So sorry you didn't get the answers you needed to put your mind at rest. I hope the time goes by fast for you and you finally get the results that you're so desperately after. Thinking of you.

Hamptonk - Really great news about your scan, I bet you were worried sick after your kidney problems so I'm really happy for you that everything is doing well.

AFM - I wish symptoms were consistent! I am so up and down. One minute I think I'm pregnant and the next I think it's all over. I can't go to the toilet without worrying I'm going to be bleeding each time. I just want another scan so I can put my mind at rest. I am still on 200mg progesterone pessaries once a day and 4x Progynova tablets a day but was told to start weaning myself off them at 10 weeks. Will be 10 weeks on Tuesday so looking forward to getting off all my meds. Apart from that, nothing is happening and my mind is playing tricks on me everytime my symptoms disappear.

    Hi All,
I was hoping you guys might have some tips or advice on what might help prepare me for our 1st fet. I've got about 3 weeks before my next cycle, i am going for acupuncture, but I was wondering if anyone had anything else that might be useful to try. Or even where I might find information.
    Thanks
