    Hi there
I believe they work. Milla has never given us a minute hassle with teething, but once when I had it off her, she cried and cried and bit her hands uncontrollably. Hope it works for u

    Thanks guys.

Oh and I was told never to wash them or get them wet is this right? As it won't work after that it washes away oils? So take it off for bath time eh?

From what i understand, no that is not true. The oils come from deep within the amber and washing or wetting them isn't going to lessen the effectiveness. What I do know is that wearing them in water etc is just likely to make them wear down faster as it can make the ties brittle etc.

So IMO nothing to worry about

Hmmmm. I was told when I bought it to make sure I didn't get it wet because it will lessen the effectiveness.

I guess it's a tricky one then! I'd be a bit wary if they said it lessens the effectiveness though, as I've been advised different and done research on it too. But too be safe I'd say if it isn't too much trouble to take it off during bath times etc then if you're concerned?

But most importantly make sure you are getting GENUINE amber - some come with authenticity certificates (I know mine did).

I wasn't sure if it would help my terrible teether, but I got one when she was 5 months old, just to see if it would help. I'm not sure if it has, but I'm not taking any chances, so she still wears it at 18 months of age!

My 13 month DS has 8 teeth and 1 back molar and has never needed any panadol/teething relief! He has been wearing his since 3 months and we only take it off for baths/swimming, I was told not to get it wet too many times because it may weaken the string holding the beads, not because it effects the actual beads! We notice within maybe 12 hours if we have forgotten to put it back on as he gets very unsettled!
