    Default frustrated to the max!!!

My 6 month old has had only 2 hour and 40mins sleep for the day. She started her day at 6:30am this morning. ARGHHHH!!!!! She has now been awake for 2 hours and 30mins and still has no intentions of going to sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have fed her changed her multiple times there isn't anything that could be preventing her from falling asleep.

She falls asleep on the bottle and after I put her down she is asleep for 5 mins and then BING!!!!! Awake as though she has had a full sleep. ARGHHHH.

She is yawning galore and is ****ty when I put her down on the play mat...but won't go to sleep in the cot!!!

one would think she would conk out!!!!!!!!

Has anyone had this in their child what did you do??????? Im at my wits end.

    Anyanka

it must be crappy nap day today. I've just given up on giving my 11mth old his second nap...was trying for the last 2.5hrs. . I'm also so frustrated because I foresee a crappy night ahead. Maybe you can take her for a walk in the pram? I remember my DS at that age if he was being particularly hard I went for arvo walks so that even a half hour catnap would get him through to bedtime.

My second DD is 19mths now and has only just started having a day nap for bout 1/2 hour and only every other day! My first was an angel! It does make for a loooong day as they are both up by 7am - I was told it's normal for some not to nap! :-( pregnant with baby no 3 now and praying this one will nap!!!!

My little boy was always a really fussy sleeper. I use a baby hammock (pm me if you want the details) and it was an absolute lifesaver to just be able to bounce the hammock when he re-awoke before he was ready to get up every 10 minutes or so which he used to do A LOT! I must say past around 9 months old he stopped waking up so prematurely which is great. He doesn't wake up now until he is actually ready to wake up (minimum 20 minutes) so not needing to resettle 100 times like I used to! You do sound so stressed hun it will pass as they get older I promise it will get better. Just keep doing the best you can and get her to sleep any way you can - whether that be feeding, rocking etc. But like I said - I could not have done it without a baby hammock and music (and this particular one is good until they are a few years old!)

Sent from my iPhone more than likely while I should be doing something else!

At six months old my DS would only sleep with me carrying him in a wrap. I'd sometimes be able to feed to sleep, but he'd wake when I put him down, or wake after 15-20 mins.

He's almost 12 months now and has only in the last two months or so been napping in his cot.

Have you tried wearing him in a carrier for naps? It can be a pain at times but was a sanity saver for me in the early days.

I have a hug a bub sling and she hasn't settled in there since 4 months old. She just cries and cries.

Is there anyone who knows of any services like someone who comes into your house to help your child sleep????

I keep hearing of these things but I have no idea what to find the numbers.

Im at the point of just leaving my family....walking away.

My 6 month old used to only sleep for 45 mins twice a day so I know how you feel. She did sleep a long time at night though. She was smiley and happy all day so I think that's just what she needed. All babies are different.

Now my 15 mth old baby sleeps 7pm-7am and has a 2.5 hour nap every day. It will get better.

maybe it's that she's falling asleep on the bottle?? and then waking 5 mins later because she realises that the bottle isn't there anymore. maybe try to let her fall asleep unaided?
my dd is also 6 months, and is going through a growth spurt, and is teething, so that could also be what's wrong.
