My DD has never been a very good milk drinker, she is 11 months old and has been FF pretty much from day go. She has really never "enjoyed" her bottles of milk, she has always had well under the recommended amounts each day and it has always worried me, not for the fact that she may not put on weight, because she does put on weight, I am worried that she is not getting enough calcium and other good stuff from her formula. I try to give her yoghurt once a day or once every 2 days, but cheese she doesn't want anything to do with, perhaps it's too strong for her? what is a weaker cheese I could try? She also has formula and sometimes cows milk on her cereals too. She is 11 months old and STLL only drinking UP TO 180ml per feed, she can hardly ever get through that amount though and only has about 120-160ml at a time. She has 4-5 bottles a day. But NEVER finishes them. What gets me is she wants them, but never really enjoys them like I have seen other babies they seem to love milk, but my girl, well she doesn't seem to like it much. I realise every baby is different and some need less some need more blah blah...but how much milk is a 11 month/12 month old baby supposed to be having a day?
Also...once she reaches 12 months should I put her on cows milk, if so how do I do this? or should I put her on a toddler formula, or the Browns Junior milk that is in the cold section of the supermarkets with all the other milks...I am so confused! I just wish she would drink more milk. She only drinks a little bit of water a day, which is relly worrying me too because it is getting really hot here FAST.
