Default Trike for my 2 year old - help

I'm looking to buy a trike for my 2 year old. I've been looking at the Smart trike 2 in 1 - cupcake http://smart-trike.com/products/smar...upcake-2-in-1/

Is this a good one? or can somebody suggest an alternative?

    Thanks

We have the three in one version. Given the age of your child you don't need the younger step so that model would be perfect.

i bought DS a metal convertible trike with parent handle and seat belt from Toys-r-us for Xmas (he'll be 15 months). its got rubber wheels and the only plastic part is the seat. that model was on clearance but they may be carrying a similar one now. i personally wouldn't buy a plastic trike for a 2 yr old. they are great for babies but given the punishment most preschoolers will throw at a trike, few plastic ones would last very long. its really hard to find metal trikes theses days! but if you can track one down they are worth the effort, especially if you plan on re-using it for siblings as well down the track.

..Of course it really all depends on how much use you think its going to get. if your kids aren't that keen on outdoor play and will only be using it occasionally than the plastic ones will do the job fine.. just make sure you can put up with the noise of hollow hard plastic wheels!
