Abubby You sound like you're coping remarkably well under the circumstances. I know it's devastating not getting to transfer. I have a neighbour who had IF TTC for 3 yrs she also has PCO & Endo but her religious beliefs prevent her from doing IVF so she did NaProTechnology & fell pregnant within the first month. She hassles me to do it but when I looked into it they have a v high success rate with treating PCO & of course younger women generally have a much better chance. Not sure where you live but I believe there are a few in most states. Just wanted to let you know in case it's something that you hadn't heard of b/c I hadn't until my friend told me. She has 2 DD's from NaPro assistance, it is much less expensive and a lot less invasive. I know there is MF to consider in your case.
I understand about not being emotionally there yet re D.Es. We are here to support you on your journey to becoming a Mum whichever way it takes to get there.

    Hi everyone

Well we saw the doctor and there is some good and bad news.

The good news is that there is nothing else wrong with me apart from my low ovarian reserve. (AMH of 1). The bad news is that hubby's swimmers are not good in this SA his motility was only 15%. The doc has said this makes us goods candidates for icsi and it seems like quite a successful procedure. Not sure if his swimmers are what are preventing us conceiving. If so then icsi may fix that and that's good right?

We have conceived naturally without intervention so maybe his swimmers could improve again? A semen analysis two years ago showed they were good not great but good. Doc couldn't recommend anything to improve his sperm, just antioxidants. He has been taking menevit and a multivitamin. His testosterone has also come back borderline low. Would TCM work? Dh doesn't want to take anything TCM without a doctors approval. I've read megadoses of vitamin c may help.

Anyway we are doing Ivf next cycle, so we are seeing the nurse next Wednesday. Sort of excited that this is our chance to get a bfp. Also worried about how I will cope if it's not.

At least we have our beautiful boy. A lady at playgroup told me about their brother who have just permenantly fostered a two year old. So we have options.

Luckyme1: my FS put my hubby on 2 tablespoons of goji berries, at least 10 pepitas and 15 ml of aloe vera juice every day to help with his morphology, motility and fragmentation and with him cutting down his drinking there has been an improvement! They are all excellent antioxidants.

Also look at HA ICSI which is better than ICSI on its own. It got us over the line with DHs dud sperm results and my low AMH. It cost us $300 extra on our cycle. Swimmers chosen in ICSI are not necessarily good ones. The HA component will help select the decent sperm for the ICSI process. Would also definitely recommend TCM, fish oil and 2000mg daily of vitamin e (d-alpha tocopherol) for him. Best of luck, looks like you have the same fertility issues we both have

Luckyme1 I have a good feeling for you, although there was some bad news, you now have all the facts and have some great advice from those who have had very similar issues. When are you looking at starting your cycle?

AFM Today DH & I had our apptmnt and finally we are starting again - just handed over $8K so that we could get in b/f the end of financial yr. I have started taking the pill, will start Lucrin in 3 wks and will be looking at EPU in 5 -6 wks. So hope our 8th cycle will be our lucky last

Hi beautiful ladies, I just thought I'd pop in and let you know my great news! After 4 failed ivf cycles and two angel babies I'm now utd with a baby girl!!! 12 weeks today and due a day before my birthday. We had a Cvs earlier in the week hence I already know she's a girl. I can't believe it happened the old fashioned way again! I can only put it down to the vitamins I've been taking.

    I just pray she's a survivor!

Good luck girls and I hope this is your lucky cycle nessika!

    Xxxxx

Mrs OC I am so thrilled for you! Congratulations and enjoy a stress free pregnancy to welcome you little girl in 6mnths, how exciting!
Just remind us which vitamins you were taking - was it fertileaid? Also do you know what your amh is? From memory I don't think it was really low.

Thanks ness, I can barely believe it! Yes I was taking fertilaid and fertilecm religiously, 3 times a day plus vit d, I was also using preseed as well. I got AF with 28 days of my d nc which was very different to the other time.

My Amh was under 4 nearly 2 years ago I don't know what it would be now Obviously less, but I didn't respond very well to the stims, max 5 eggs and once two that didn't fertilize

    Good luck!

    Hi All,

Just popping in to say massive congrats to MrsOC!!!That is wonderful news

Ness - Good luck with your upcoming cycle, I will be cheering you on from the sidelines and sending you all the good vibes that I can find. for lucky number 8 hun

Luckyme - we did ICSI on our cycles but the last one we also did HA and some calcium thing that I can never remember the name of but they basically stir things around a bit when they inject the egg, I think that along with DHEA and all the other supplements got us over the line as we had very poor fert rates and I am a poor responder with very low AMH etc. Good Luck

    Hi everyone,

Thank you all for your words of advice and comfort, it really helps when you feel like your head is going to cave in with all this information.

Mrs OC, congratulations. Did you have male factor issue as well?

How do I find out about if my clinic does icsi ha? Saw our acupuncturist today and she's given me advice on what vitamins to put hubby on. I also bought goji berries, pepitas and aloe Vera juice but forget hubby is allergic to aloe Vera. I'm hoping the male factor thing can be improved because obviously it was good enough two years ago to conceive our ds.

I'm only going to do Ivf three or four times then if that don't work we'll try DE. It sounds like male factor can be helped alot with icsi so that is a good thing, poor eggs seem a bit incurable.

My mum is totally against DE and thinks foster care would be better, but I can't see how foster care would be easier than DE. But we are open to foster care if DE doesn't work out.

I know, I know I'm running ahead but I'm such a worrier and a planner and sometimes I want to know all my options.

But life never works like that does it. Sometimes things don't go to plan and whammo **** happens and you think to your self how the hell did we get here. This is not what I want and I didn't plan this, how the hell am I going to get through it and still be happy.

But the human spirit is so resilient and we pick ourselves up, brush ourselves down and yes, we do find happiness again.
