Ness - Just got a phonecall from FS telling me not to get overly excited as Prog is quite low. She would expect it to be around the 40 mark so if it does not increase there is a likelihood of M/C so I will be doing crinone twice a day and hoping that Prog rises. Thats probably why I did not feel settled.

I think its a good idea to get another BT, you never know things could have picked up and then you would be able to put your mind at rest

    First Trimester
10-90 ng/ml -- Average is about 20 at 4 weeks LMP, and 40 at 14 weeks LMP. It is important to note that while a higher progesterone level corresponds with higher pregnancy success rates, one cannot fully predict outcome based on progesterone levels.

Doesn't seem that bad I read about women who had much lower levels & still had a viable pregnancy. Don't lose hope yet LG, everyone is different. I'm not giving up on your BFP I know first hand that you can be off the "normal" graph & be fine.

THanks Ness. I have had a bit of a google myself and it seems like most say that 20 is average for week 4. I dont know why my FS wants 40, ,aybe its different for us IVFers?

Who knows, for now I am going to go nuts with the crinone and hope that helps...watch out for the crinone crazies to well and truly take hold of me now

Perhaps we are not supposed to be normal...just special!!

Coming in when I feel emotionally and mentally stronger,

LG38, I am not sure what is the minimum HCG level but if you nurse isnt worried that is good. I want to say congratulations! It happened! Oh more crinone but if it keeps your baby sticky bring them on! Just make sure you take care of hygiene cos crinone can give us infection. I was having this odd smell in the second week of crinone and I was worrried about infection. FN said I can ask GP to prescribe ssomething but tthankfully the odd smell cleared up after most crinone gunk came off.

Oh i read on EB thread one lady also had low P4 but with P44 support (hers was pessaries) and now the level got better. Hope that brings you hope. I do wonder why they are only doing BT for you in one week's time, that lady had BT every few days just to check if the p4 support is working. I had to wait for one week too and felt that was too long. Many buddies had theirs checked less than one week. I waited the longest. I think Monash's schedule is like that. Did you tell the nurse off about her attitude? So far I interacted with just a few, mostly very nice but did find one with name C.K. not very nice.

Nessika, just want to say you are one incredible buddy we have here on BH.

AFM : Just chilling out as much as I can. I am having insomnia...couldnt sleep tilll 2am last night...had a check online and saw that it is normal for 1st trimester...thought I am supposed to feel very tired haha...the P4 is the culprit. Also having a bit of mild nausea here and there...not complaining...the more the better...

LG it almost feels a bit like over servicing with IVF - I mean we are looking for PG symptoms before most ppl even know they are BFP & we get monitored a lot more. My sister had 2 ultrasounds for her first pg - she was v young but still I lost count with how many I had. I don't get why they tend to err on the negative side so we don't get our hopes up too high. Hope you are feeling a little less anxious.

M20 I am also having insomnia badly. Thanks for the lovely compliment - I hope that we can keep up our BH friendship going especially when things settle down for all 3 of us - TBH I'm thrilled we have all made it to this point.

M2O - I have never met the C.K. nurse but mine got a very large piece of my mind today. Yes I am not looking forward to crinone twice a day but I will do whatever is necessary. I am happy that I have got this far and I will stay positive and hope that does the trick. I would probably feel more confident if I had any syptoms at all which I dont!! Maybe its still too early for that? FS says my HCG is fine its the progesterone that the problem Glad you are feeling a bit better though.

Ness - The more googling I did today it seems that 20 is the American Measurement for Prog, in Aus it is closer to 40 cant remember the exact calc. Either way I am hoping that the crinone sorts it out. I too am thrilled that we have all made it this far. I agree with M2O you are a very good buddy and I am very grateful for the support from all of you. I am still going to be as positive as possible, cos it aint over till the fat lady sings and I am tone deaf and intend to get very fat over the coming months!!

FS also wants me to stay on DHEA for the time being but reduce dose to 50mg per day. I am almost positve that was what made the difference for me this time.

Jaye/Chook - How are things going with you both?

LG I agree with you about the Dhea too many graduates here have attributed a big part of their success to Dhea that we can't ignore it. So glad to hear that you are doing your best to stay positive it's all any of can do at this stage.

that your next b/t is most reassuring

Big hello to Chook, Jaye, Linds, Lola & anyone I have missed I'm really looking forward to hearing big things from you ladies soon. Wanted to mention to those with low amh & egg quality issues that Saizen trippled my egg # & fert rate from an average of 1 fert egg per cycle to 3 fert. eggs both cycles which I used Saizen.

AFM I just got my repeat b/t results back & they were happy with the levels although still on the v low side I'm now sitting in the average range.

LG - Great to hear the hcg was good, keeping for next blood test.

Ness - Also great to hear your blood tests were good.

I have been taking Provera all week, today is the last day so maybe AF will come soon and I will be jabbing again. This will be an antogonist cycle with my old clinic.

I've still been taking my temps at 6:30am every day, they have gradually been increasing the last few days, and yesterday it was 37.0 deg. I thought the increase would be due to taking Progesterone, creating a fake luteal phase. However, this morning's temp was back down to 36.5 - wierd.

Also got my blood and urine test results from Wazza, everything fine except Testosterone which was high, but that would be because I was taking Testogel. I've stopped the Testogel since and have reverted to DHEA since Wazza thinks he's had more success with DHEA. There were so many tests, including some thyroid ones, iodine and Vit D, I'm sure Sharkeys will be interested in them.

I am getting ready for a busy week at work next week.

Chook Sounds like you are working hard both in the office & for IVF. Will Wazza be working with your old clinic for your antagonist cycle upcoming? Sharkey's will be very interested in your temps + all the b/t's.

LG- I hope that progesterone is well on it’s way up for you. Great HCG though IVF pregnancies should have a higher progesterone for two reasons. We are on the support so progesterone should be alot higher than the normal range and it takes a little longer for IVF embies to be able to support themselves because they started outside the uterus. But like you said, your is still in the normal range so your lining is still supporting that little bub of yours. You just need to get over that scary 8 week mark hon. There is always Bl@@dy something to worry about.

Ness – Going from low HCG to in range is great

Chook - Is she here yet? Is she here yet? Is she here yet?
Great that Wazza didn’t find any surprises hon. Gives you a little bit more confidence for your next cycle.

Lola – surely it is time that your FS stopped playing it safe with you and tried something. Something is better than doing the same thing with no results. I understand he got you your first BFP but that was your first cycle as well, he didn’t have to try anything new. It is a different situation now.

AFM – After getting the run around from my clinic in turns out I have another cyst (14mm) sitting there on my ovary. Which is what I had expected from the pains I had been having. Not big enough to trigger yet but will have more BT and when it is big enough I will trigger and should be booking on for cycle number 7 soon enough. So, as I should be expecting by now, more waiting for me. But in about 2 weeks, none of this will matter because I’ll be jabbing and on my way to my sticky BFP. Next month is our three year anniversary for both wedding and TTC

That EDD is hard to pass isn’t it. I have a colleague at work who had her EPU two days before me, so it is thrown in my face everyday how far along I should be. I’m really struggling with work at the moment. There is her (which is the worst) and two others UTD. All talking about babies and prams and maternity leave. I HATE work so much right now. Even the talk of somebody coming back from maternity leave is grinding at me. She got married 2 years after me
