Chook Wazza's protocol sounds amazing. I love that he is prescribing supplements as well. No I can understand DH not wanting to wait yet again. At least you can take something out of Sharkeys like antioxidants & she has a lot of little tips like making sure you get so many mins of sun per day etc. Did you download her free books? If anything it can be your back up plan. Hope AF comes soon - will you be starting straight away?

Afm I don't even know where my AF has disappeared to, never had such a strange end to an IVF cycle before. I've read that some ladies bodies kind of shut down for ages after IVF

    Default DHEA side effects

Hi Ladies I am relatively new to the bub hub and I was just wondering if anyone has experienced pimples on their stomach and back from DHEA? I am guessing I should be thankful they are there instead of on my face but I was just wondering if this is normal? I have been on DHEA for about 8 weeks now I also have the pleasure of greasy skin and now it looks like I have the pleasure of hair loss too. Oh the joys!

Ness - Have you tested again? Maybe no AF is still a good sign

SG79 - Yes I have pimples on my back, chest, face and even in my scalp under my hair - yuk!! My hair and face are like an oil slick too. I have been taking 75mg of DHEA since 9th Dec. I have found that proactive has helped a bit, and I wash my hair every day now instead of every other day, dry shampoo would help but I dont like the feel of it in my hair, its lovely isnt it

LG I wish that was so, hpt's have been fading each day. How are you going anyway? Are you feeling more positive now that you've only a few more sleeps till b/t?

SG79 Yes neck & back are better than face & I had that too, no hair loss & not overly greasy but maybe the more side affects will mean a better result as it did not get me a BFP.

Ness - Its not looking like this is our turn either. AF is due on Tuesday and I have the usual signs that she will arrive right on target again I would like to say that there is still time blah blah, but I know my body pretty well and short of a miracle its going to be situation normal.

I am going to book another app with FS and ask her to do some more tests etc. I've also got a few other things to talk to her about so I'm going to focus on that.

JFB – Thankyou so much for the luck I really miss you on this thread. Wow, you must only have a couple of months to go now before little H gets a brother or sister I know you don’t like to talk about your pregnancy on trying threads but please pop in to update us when you have your little miracle #2.

Ness – I think I’m confused. When is your BT? I thought you had it the other day. What a rollercoaster of emotions for you But fading HPT’s may not mean a BFN, if this is the Pregnyl leaving your system that is ok, so many ladies have not gotten two lines until well after their BT. I guess at the end of the day you know your body Hmmmm DH really should cut down on the beer, and not just because of the TTC reason. That must be extremely frustrating for you.

LG – sorry to hear your intuition is telling you this cycle hasn’t worked either but I still have my for both you and Ness.

SG79 – yep pimples everywhere, back, front, face, scalp, I thought it was bad and about the 3 month mark, but I’m at the 13month mark now and it doesn’t get better. I’m using the Clinique blemish prone solutions cosmetics which helps a little. Good think though, the more side effects in terms of the hormone changes, pimples, hair loss, oiliness are all good signs it is doing what it needs to for those ovaries, and that makes it all worth it. DH jokes that I leave a “pet” behind in the shower every time I was my hair. I fish out this big ball of my hair. Definitely invest in good shampoo products. It has certainly made a difference for me despite my lack of a sticky BFP.

Chook – I hope AF comes soon for you over 40 days is getting ridiculous. She knows when you actually want her doesn’t she? Could you introduce some of those things from Wazzas list into this upcoming cycle? The oestrogen priming should help with egg numbers and quality, Progynova should be easily enough added? Hey, I’ve even got just over half a box left over from a previous cycle I could send you. And you could add aspirin instead of the clexane.

Jaye I didn't know that some ladies don't get their hpt + until after b/t? You've actually heard of this. I am confused too, my b/t was due Fri but am away & wouldn't get results until tomorrow anyway then line was fading & decided not to bother. I will be def get b/t tomorrow now unless AF comes tonight. DH & I still do not have closure - there is a clear faint line today. I've made him sound like a drunk, he is successful but has gotten into really bad habbits for many yrs - he used to smoke too so we are slowly improving. I am so excited for you I can really see you are back with us now

LG I am sorry that you are feeling this way - it's still not definite yet but I know what you mean about having a back up plan to feel like you are not going to lose momentum. for some good news soon

SG - I got a few zits in strange places (eg on chest) when I started DHEA.

Nessika, LG - Keeping FX for both of you.

Jaye - What a good idea. Wazza's protocol has progynova 2 tablets/day from Day 2-7, he has given me a script for 56 tablets of progynova with 2 repeats. Therefore if I get this script filled I would definitely have enough for this cycle. No need to go to the trouble to send me yours - you may need them for your own cycle later.

I am a bit confused because from my reading on the internet I thought an "estrogen priming protocol" involved taking the estrogen in the lead up to the stim cycle, but the Wazza protocol has it being taken alongside stims (Day 2-7). Has anyone done an estrogen priming protocol and what did it involve?

If AF doesn't turn up tommorow might see FS. I am supposed to be starting an antagonist cycle with 300FSH when AF arrives.

    Hi All,

    Thanks for your kind wishes.

I know it sounds a bit negative but no ones knows our bodies like we do. I am going to speak to FS re a lower dose of Gonal as I have read quite a lot about it affecting egg quality in high doses and although I got 8 eggs this time, only 2 fertilised. I would be more than happy with only a couple of eggs as long as the quality was good. I'm also going to ask about assisted hatching, embryo glue and something else I've been reading about called embryogen. She already said that oif this cycle does not work we will continue with DHEA and add HGH into mix so I think I've formulated a back up plan!! I've always been practical an d even though my hearts breaking I have to feel like I'm doing something constructive.

Ness - My DH likes a beer or two aswell and he used to smoke until September last year, but I have cut him down on the beer and outlawed the smoking. I've also got him on menevit and fertilaid for men. I figure that even though there is no issues with him, if I keep creating dodgy eggs then he needs super sperm Sometimes they forget their part in all this, they dont mean to its just that its all happening to us for the most part

Chook - Af turns up soon, it must be so frustrating. All the waiting just increases our stress and anxiety.
