I'm one of those super crazy lucky ones. First cycle, 2 eggs, both fertilised, one is frozen, one is my 30 month old DS!

However if you can see my signature you can see that TTC #2 has been far fom easy - 5 full stim cycles in one year, 3 bfns, 1 with nothing to transfer and one miscarriage. I'm about to have my first ever FET on Monday so cross your fingers that this is the one!

I hope your journey is short!!

Katubb, I am in Melbourne. In my first down reg (cos I knew nothing about IVF and had so much naive hope that it will work first go) cycle, I was put on BCP and had bad depression. BCP is supposed to really clean out everything I think, like bring all your hormones and lining to base level so the stim drugs can take best effects. I also think they are given so there is no chance of getting pregnant before you proceed with IVF?

But I did read some ladies as well as some FS saying it can supress our ovaries too much. But there are renowned FS in USA who thinks BCP is good to put our ovaries in complete rest before IVF cycle. With my subsequent cycles I was never on BCP. My 3rd and this cycle I did antagonist protocol so no BCP at all. I love this protocol it is short and easy. Start jab on day 2 of AF and EPU about 14 days after.

You are still young and great to find out this young. Are you doing IVF due to LOR? I thought of doing ICSI for half of my eggs and natural fertilisation for the rest this cycle just to see why the fertilisation rate was so poor last two cycles (6 out 11 and 4 out of 10) but DH was firmly against. He didnt want to take the risk. I am like running experiments on myself ..He thinks I am mad. So I decided to ask FS to lower my dose this cycle and the fert rate actually improved to 100%. IVF is pretty much trial and error. Wish I was the lucky duck getting it first go.

MrsOC - great news on your natural BFP between cycles! Gives us all hope.

    Mum2One
    - Good news about being PUPO! Hope these embies are the ones.

    Nessika
    - Good luck for the transfer.

    Katubb - Welcome

AFM - My prog was only 5 so despite having 2 18mm follicles seen on a scan it seems like I still didn't ovulate. All that work for nothing. It is particularly depressing - it seems like whenever I get a glimmer of hope it is taken away.

We have signed up to do another proper IVF cycle. Just paid and picked up meds today. I will be taking 300 Puregon this time and Orgalutran. Now waiting for AF to start.

Still have the appointment with Wazza on the 14th for a second opinion, and maybe can change to him after this cycle if he is willing to treat me.

Chook I'm sorry you are feeling depressed, lets pray that this next cycle brings you much more than a glimmer of hope

LG Not long now - for tomorrow's scan & that follies are ripe for your EPU early next week.

M20, Katubb, Lola, MrsOC lots of & enjoy your weekend

AFM I'm PUPO had two A grade embies both 6 cells one compacting already at day 2 - we just want to get one healthy sticky BFP

Watubb, LOR mean low ovarian reserve. Now I understand your background more. Thanks for explaining. Your chances are high at 33. I am not a doctor but just based on results I see everywhere, it is positive. It is great that you found help on forums so early. i came to forums only after my 2nd cycle failed and I was already 37. When I was doing my first IVF at 35 FS still said I was very young for IVF! That statement really made me take my own sweet time to jump onto cycle #2. I regretted that.

Chook11, I am so sorry. This process is so discouraging for some of us and so unfair. I am glad you have got your meds all ready to commence another cycle. Wazza sounds good and it sounds like you are taking forever to see him cos you mentioned about him some time back. He must be popular and he must be good. Sometimes a knowlegeable, aggressive and dedicated FS is all we need. Hugs!

Nessika, wow ho ho....grade A!!! I never got a grade as our clinic doesnt believe in it. It is only in the final report that I get to see gradings done by the embryologists for their own tracking use. But I am glad not to have a grade on my embryos so I wil have added stress that they may not work. What do you mean by compacting on day 2? I didnt know day 2 embryos compact. I thought they do so only on day 4? Unless they are always compacting before going to the next phase...

LG38, scan today or tml? Waiting to hear your great results.

AFM : It so scary wondering if the two embies are still alive in my womb. I hope they are and snuggling in already. Havent got any status about my last embryo. I am just going to leave it as it is. So scared I am going to hear that it has already been binned.

Chook - Sorry to hear that. As M2O says this process can be discouraging for some. I really hope your next cycle is the one I have read quite a bit about Wazza and he seems like a bit of a legend!!

M2O - My scan is tomorrow morning, bit silly really I have BT at 8.30 and scan at 9.45!! Will have to go home and come back. Hopefully there will be some positive news

Ness - Fantastic News!!! I'm keeping everything crossed for you too

AFM - Well I should find out tomorrow when my EPU will be and when exactly I will be joining M2O & Ness in TWW

    Hi to everyone else

LG38, I am sure you dont have to go home and come back....that is just silly. I am sure if you finish your BT and let the recept knows, she will ask you to go over and see if they can slot you in if they can.
