Ok, cloth experts, tell me what to use!?!

I recieved in the mail my first pocket nappy. Made from a WAHM and I need to know what to stuff it with? Can I just use my terry flats I have, if not what is best? I am only using cloth for daytime (so I guess I'm not a FULL convert )
I have heard that polar fleece is best to keep the moisture away from bub's skinn, is this true? So would that material be good for liners/boosters?

I am pretty much clueless. I am just buying from ebay at the mom as I have picked some up rather cheap. I really like the AIO / PUL as they don't need covers.

So any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

You can stuff your pocket nappies with anything you like. Terry flats, face washers, cut up towels etc.

Some people swear by polar fleece liners, you wouldn't be able to use them as boosters because that type of fleece repels water. You can buy the fleece yourself and cut it up into the shape liner you want to use.

Boosters can be made from any absorbent material also. Hemp and bamboo are pretty popular because they absorb a lot for their size.

I don't have pockets, but I'm pretty sure you can stuff them with whatever you have (correct me if I'm wrong though!).
Microfleece is fantastic as a liner. The wee soaks through so bub still feels dry, and the poo just rolls of into the loo (so long as it's not newborn poo then you've got to shake or spray it).

Bamboo and hemp boosters are fantastic!

OK so can I buy bamboo or hemp materials from like spotlight or some where?
Also, the micro fleece? Where to buy? What is the difference between micro fleece and polar fleece?

Yep you can use your terry flats we do this sometimes otherwise we use microfibre which can be bought in the cleaning aisle of the supermarket but i got mine from Green Kids. Many also use hemp through the day which does last longer etc but if you have a super urinator you can find it doesnt soak up quick enough unless its a terry hemp. I use hemp for nites with a microfibre but through the days its either terry flats or microfibre.
Microfibre is different to microfleece or polarfleece as it absorbs whereas the latter repels so make great liners keeping bubs dry.
Also keep in mind you may not need liners on your pocket nappies as depending on the inner it may do that job for you !

Polarfleece you can buy at spotlight - but unfortunately you will have to shop online for the other fabrics

OK, so I just buy the microfibre from the cleaning section...? okay.
And I can buy microfleece/polarfleece from spotlight to make my liners.
If that material repels liquid then wouldn't it make it difficult for the nappy to soak it up? As in, it will only get soaked on the edges or does it just work out? It must as so many use it right?

Microfleece (which, yes, you can buy from spotlight - you can cut it up into the right sized liners, and because it doesn't fray, you don't need to overlock it or anything) - it lets the moisture through, but doesn't actually feel wet itself - so its ideal for liners.

The microfibre that people use for stuffing nappies is the same that is used in a lot of cleaning clothes. Is there a Big W where you live? If so, I'm told that they sell microfibre cleaning clothes in packs of 3 that are ideal for stuffing nappies.

oh, just one more thing... how thick is the microfibre cloths? I would imagine they are only thin right? If so, are they enough alone or do you need other absorbants?
