I have friends that are older and the sisters are all J's. They are quite embarrased and say "don't know what mum was thinking".
Just thought I'd add a different view since everyone thinks it's a great idea.
Not something I would do but plenty of people do it. Our neighbours are Jess Jason and Jacob.
All the women in my immediate family are S's, my mums an S , both my sisters are S's, I'm an S and my sis is expecting a baby girl (my other sis and I both have boys so no S's there) and shes going to call her, wait for it......Scarlet so the S lives on into the next generationpersonally I hated it growing up as mum and dad would go through all the names before getting to mine eg "come here sha... sa I mean Sarah"
but now I think its kinda cute

Hi there!
If you want to keep the same "C" thing going with the names, why not try a different sound instead to break it up a little? Your kids names have a "K" sound so why not try a "CH" sounding C, like CHELSEA or CHARLIE? Or maybe even an "S" sounding C like CELESTE or CIAN (sorry! I had to search a couple of books to find a boys name!!)
Just another thing, I know a family who have 3 girls all with names starting with "A" & even though it's never been a problem for them, it first made me wonder if they just never made it past "A" in the baby name books!

Doesnt really affect me but one thing you do have to take into consideration in the long term is that if you have two of the same sex with the same initials mail will be very confusing!! my fiance is steven and his brother scott and once they started getting mail it was kind of a privacy thing cos it would be addressed to Mr S Gibbons so they were constantly opening each others mail and they also had another brother that is Paul and he didnt feel left out at all. i think if anything he maybe felt different in a good way, that he didnt have that confusion!!

Wow!
Everyone has been so thoughtful and helpful. Thanks so much.
I didn't consider the mail thing, but that could be a problem!
Interesting and thanx to all for your posts.

oh boy the mail thing !!
My bro is a T and so am i and when we were at home often mail would be addressed to T.Vanderhorst (no mr or miss) and we would often be opening each others mail it was AWFUL !!
the third in my clan (me and two bros) is not a T name but an R and we never even thought anything of it.....
Good luck with your name choosing![]()
