Just wondering if someone can shed some light on SMEP for me. Is it based on a 28 day cycle? Im yet to ovulate this cycle but last cycle I got a positive OPK on CD22..so if I were to do SMEP would I still start it at the time they say? I have around a 35 day cycle it seems.

staflame - this is my first month with SMEP. I guess you don't have to start as early. Maybe CD 12 but make sure your DP 'releases' sperm to keep it fresh as they say. I have about a 31ish day cycle, not sure when I O but I don't think we will have it all together until CD 12 (when visitors leave)or so or we might on 'odd nights' . I have started playing iwth my OPK at CD 8 as I was curious and there is barely a line.
I think you have to weight up being completely exhausted and over it by the time you O and timing it right.

    Good luck

Starflame im a bit like you with my cycle and O day. I have a 30-31 day cycle generally and i think im not oing till around day 18 or so. Im going to start the opks a couple of days later like on CD12 but start doing the bding CD10 every second like in the plan. I think its a matter of juggling and seeing what works best for each person.

it works for all us ladies trying

I'm in for January! As long as two certain factors occur! I currently have my first AF since my m/c in November, so I'm not sure what it is going to do! Hopefully it will end in normal time! And the other factor is the my OPK's arrive in time. I ordered them online and they haven't been shipped yet! Gah!

So if all that happens CD8 will be on the 5th of January and O will be around the 12th!

This'll be a good month, ladies!!! enjoy all the BDing!

thinking i might get in on this too DH and i have only TTC once (in november). i had my implanon out in october so my cycles have been a bit off (a 28 day cycle and then a 52 day cycle) so OPK's will definitely help me figure out when i am ovulating (or if i am??). DH is overseas atm and i will be joining him the end of january so, depending on the length of this cycle, february will probably be the first month for us

Hi everyone, hope your New Years celebrations were fun!

So I thinking DH and I may not need to try smep as I got a bfp yesterday! Had a bnf 2 days before but couldn't shake the feeling something was going on as AF is usually pretty spot on and she was 4 days late! Do you think DH and I could believe it when we saw the very faint second line - we are still pinching ourselves! Fingers crossed all goes well : )

Best of luck to all you lovely ladies , hope (early) 2012 is your time!
