I have heard if you use a website called hopshopgo.com they give you an American address and then ship it for you at a cheaper price
I have heard about this also. Has anyone in here actually done this?

I actually looked at it and signed up for it the other week and it seems pretty good - didnt actually buy anything though so can't comment on the shipping price, but it gave me a p.o box like address for in US...

Yeah I've used HSG - for both the simple address function and the pay for me function. It's great.

Did you think the shipping was cheaper by it?

It's not necessarily cheaper - just more convenient. If a US store ships to Oz it's generally just as cheap to go through them directly, but if they don't HSG is a great service to use. It's easier than other mail forwarding services and they will repackage parcels from various stores to ensure te cheapest shipping possible.

Te main advantage is where stores don't ship to Oz but offer free US shipping - so it's free to get shipped to your HSG address and then you just pay to get it shipped here instead of paying to get it shipped within the US and them shipped here.
