PeJu is an IVF bub, so I've been on Metamucil since 1DPO, works a treat.

    ^^^this!

I got so fed up one day and drank a whole tin.... I'm glad I happened to be home when it hit, hahaha.

The one in the tin is awesome- I have 1-2 glasses a day and it really works a treat, especially now that I'm back on the iron supps!

Also- psyllium husks are great (a spoon in a glass of water or on cereal). Id pick these over Metamucil as it's way less processed and is cheap as chips

Nulax is a natural, fruit based laxative. I checked with my OB when pregnant as I was constipated at times and he gave me the go ahead. I'd definitely give it a go if you want something that's really quick and natural too! But don't take much or else it can cause pain!!

Sent from my iPhone more than likely while I should be doing something else!

My SIL has terrible constipation. She couldnt go for days and after a doc appt, she discovered she had a blockage that was caused from the sluggish metabolism that naturally occurs when pregnant. She was prescribed supositries from the chemist and has no problems since. However, she does have to go for regular walks, drink loads of water, metamucil, phsyliam husks on brekkie, ett. I do the same myself and i go probably every second day.

I know this is an old thread but which Coloxyl did you take - Coloxyl 50 or 120? I would like the one that works best but don't want to feel that laxative cramp feeling (less harmful to bub).

I had pear juice when I was pregnant, it usually got things moving within a couple of days if I had a glass every day. But after bub, with stitches etc I was quite paranoid so I started having 3 glasses of metamucil a day along with lots of fruit.

Just realised this is an old thread :P
