Default Sunshine Coast Qld Private v Selangor Nambour????

Iam interested to know of what peoples thoughts are between Sunshine Coast Private Qld and Selangor Nambour Qld and the DR's. Having a little trouble deciding between the 2. Heard such good and bad things about both

I chose Selangor more because of a doctor choice then because of the hospitals. I had dealt with a few of the obs that work out of SC private and was not impressed with them so decided on an ob from Selangor. Both hospitals seem to have good reps. Is one closer to home for you?

I have had two births at Selangor, I wouldn't birth anywhere else. Fabulous OB's who really are in tune with how women want to birth and are supportive of their birthing choices, plus water births are very much supported. Wonderful midwives, very supportive, it's an A+ from me.

I just had the most perfect, beautiful waterbirth at Selangor. The widwives were amazing and my ob Dr James Orford is lovely (despite not making it in time for the birth, she was fast lol)

I had my daughter at SCPH, it was fantastic and I plan to birth there again next year.. Could not fault one aspect of my whole experience and the food is to die for lol..

I live in Maroochydore and don't drive so Buderim is always easiest to get too, there's a bus stop right out the front of the hospital too

I am currently seeing Dr Kylie Isaacs. She is lovely and I have no complaints so far.

I'm seeing Kirsten morrow. She's fine. Can't say she's amazing but she is fairly good. If I was birthing again is definately see Kylie Isaacs, I've heard great things about her.

Its such a hard choice not knowing if you have picked the right OB. Ive heard good things about Kirsten Morrow and my local GP is seeing her for her first baby. I have my first app with her in a few weeks so if we dont click i can always change. But yes i have heard great things also about Kylie Issacs.
    Thanks for the feedback!

Don't get me wrong, Kirsten is fine. She is open to your decisions and very nice and friendly. We had one run in when I needed her to give me some information and she was quite dismissive. But I took my issues up with her and she was very accepting and has been great since.

At the end of the day, your OB may not (or even will probably not) even be at your birth. Could be any of the obs on call.
