my DH initially was hesitant to get sperm analysis done too, but after my first loss and then TTC for another 5 after that, he figured that we had spent about 10 months of TTC and it was only fair for him too to get some tests done. i had had loads of scans, blood tests, sad moments etc, that he finally realised he needed to step up. spermies were fine. but after m/c #3, he has now gone to get chromosomes tested too, as i've had all those tests done.
I think sometimes it takes them a while to realise that they are part of the process too, not just the 'sperm donors' as sometimes i know my hubby feels when it's that fertile time of the month.

I think Delirium, you will be seen and taken seriously if you can find the right specialist to see you. i was seen after 5 months and my 1st m/c, so she ordered loads of tests to be done, even though i was able to conceive, but didnt hold onto it. i only wish now that after 3 m/c that we are able to resolve things for next time round. gonna give TTC a miss for rest of march and april, coz have to see my specialist and fertility specialist and await hubbies results too. easier said than done though, i wanna TTC again ASAP

Hey ladies.... Question. Do the lines on this opk mean I'm ovulating you think? Are they dark enough? I had no line pretty much last week and some signs that I would be ovulating but it seems to be very early in my cycle. If I am have I missed the chance or should DH and I be getting busy now?!? Haha. I've never used these before so I don't know.

I would be dtd tamtam! Looks so close to positive. At least if u dtd now there may be some spermies there ready to meet your egg. I'm assuming "test" line is on left, control on right

I got an OPK just like that about 10am CD 13, did another about 5pm and it was as dark as the control. According to my reading a surge on the stick can sometimes only last 6 hours (not actual ovulation but the surge itself) so I would be doing another in the early evening. I suspect you'll get your full pos

Thanks guys! This is do new to me! We haven't DTD all week!!!! Argh. I was sick last weekend and early in the week. We've had a stressful week so it just hasn't happened. Typical of life!!!! Haha. I think it's funny that complete strangers here on BH will know we're getting busy!!!! Hahaha.
I will test later tonight too and hope it is. I feel like we've missed our window now. Don't you have to DTD before ovulation!!?!?

Muffin I'm sorry your DH is being that way. Hopefully as the others have said if he at least hears it from the doctor he'll be more co-operative.

Del I'm sorry AF showed up. Horrible witch. FX for this month.

TamTam enjoy yourselves, FX this is it for you.

AFM - I've had all the tests now pretty much - had HyCoSy on Thursday to test tubal patency. It was all clear so looks now that it's either unexplained, or it's a sperm morphology issue. DH is getting tested for the second time at the end of the month. On Tuesday I'm seeing an IVF doc/reproductive endocrinologist who our obgyn referred us to. Dr Bowen at Genea who is supposed to be fantastic. I've also started weekly acupuncture at the IVF clinic as it's been shown in studies to be helpful. All this is costing a small fortune, we are lucky we can afford it I suppose.

I'm looking like O'ing in the middle of this week but DH is off back to Singapore today so there is no chance for us this month Still feeling very sad after the latest loss. We were watching House last night and a little newborn was in the show, I cried and cried.

No Tam you haven't missed it. The egg drops between 12-24 hours after the surge. So if you get the dark pos tonight you will o lunch time tomorrow to tomorrow night

Hugs tigger must be frustrating not knowing what's wrong. How do they do the tube latency and what is it?

Oh tigger. I'm so sorry. I still cry too when I see things like that. I almost cried in church this morning because there was a baby dedication.
You are going through so much. Hugs and fingers crossed for you. Try to stay positive. Hugs.

And thanks everyone. I never realized how 'detailed' this baby making thing was.
