Me too. I would like my children to go to a public co-ed school. Private schools are also exempted from abiding to various Anti-Discrimination Acts, which I have concerns about.

We're send DD to a small Catholic school. We really love everything about it, even though neither my DH or I are practising Catholics.

    School fees are:

$1572 per year, plus $200 building levy and $100 library levy.

Try the "my school " website it has all the information about school results as well as number of children, often with links to the schools website.

I'm too lazy to google, what's their philosophy?

Our kids are going to an Independent which is based on Steiner pedagogy.

Don't base your decision on the myschool website. It is an absolute joke.

You're better of visiting the school, taking a tour, meeting the principal and asking for a copy of the school's management plan and their annual report.

Personally we are private as we wanted Montessori and were very set on it I do agree with the myschool site, it really is a joke better off seeing the school, talking to staff, seeing how the kids are doing

I think it's similar to steiner, but I think the closest steiner is in samford so I haven't looked at it due to distance.

I guess my concern about main****** schools is they could be autocratic and stifle creativity and encourage conformism.
