Just curios as to whether or not the little cans of beef and veg puree contain enough beef to be a good iron source?

The natural ones maybe although the regular ones I am a bit wary of. They contain alot of water and "fillers" for my liking, compared to making it yourself.
yea its the natural ones im talking about, they dont say anything about iron in the nutritional chart![]()

Would have little in it, I am guessing.
Normally if products don't mention certain amounts of nutrients it usually means its low or has none of that nutrient , if that makes any sense! So I would assume if there were a decent amount of iron in it they would put it in, legally companies only have to list 7 nutrients on their labels, calories, protein, total fat, saturated fat, total carbs, sugar and sodium. I would be skeptical of the quality of meat in processed baby food, maybe try find an organic brand or it is quite easy to make a big batch at home, at least that way you can gaurantee the quality!

Mmmm yes you're probably right. I tried making some beef and carrot puree at home but it ended up all stringy and DS hated it. 'Spose some mince would be easier hey?
