Default Baby Rhyme Time at Stanhope Gardens

    Hi all,

As a new BH Ambassador for our area, I thought I'd try to get a few meet ups underway,

The Dennis Johnson Library in the Blacktown Leisure Centre @ Stanhope Gardens, runs Baby Rhyme Time sessions.

Rhyme Time sessions are described as:

Baby Rhyme Time is an interactive, early literacy program especially developed
for children from birth to 2 years of age. It's designed to show parents and carers how to develop their child's early literacy.

Talk, sing, rhyme, repeat, dance, read, shake musical instruments, beat to the rhythm, have fun, smile, make new friends and let all the little people know just how special they really are.

Sessions are run on Mondays at 11.00am - 11.30am
    .

For those interested we could also grab a coffee after the session.

If you need any further information feel free to post it here or send me a PM.

Would love to try and make this a regular thing. That way, whether you are free once a week, or once a month, you know that the group will always be there.

If you have any other suggestions or ideas that will help the mums in our area - pop it in a message to me.

    Hiiii
I used to go to the Baby Rhyme Time at Stanhope, but it was just too busy for me. A lot of parents would drop their kids off and go to the gym, so it was quite chaotic. DS2 was only a few months old at the time, so I'd have him on a blanket on the floor, and parents were just letting their kids run around him, nearly falling on him, and some parents would even step right over the top of him. I wasn't impressed at all.
I go to Baby Rhyme Time at Lalor Park, which is where Richard started out. (I think he still does rhyme time at Stanhope).
I was reluctant to go to Lalor Park, thinking it'd be full of bogans But it's actually not! It's a much smaller, more relaxed group.
Baby rhyme time at Lalor Park is on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10-10.30 and on Fridays there's also story time & craft after Baby Rhyme Time.

    Hi giveitago,

I live nearby and have been wanting to go to baby rhyme time for a while, but things keep getting in the way. I just checked out the library website and it says thursdays are also an option though they might change them with the new term etc.

Let me know if you're going this term, as i know a few mums in my playgroup would be interested, which would give you more mums in the local area to meet

All of our bubs are now between 5-7 months so not too far off from yours (i read the ambassador thread).
