    Hi Girls,
I would like to join this thread. I am currently on a break after swapping fertility clinics. My new clinic wants to start from scratch and retest everything. I like my new clinic and new fertility specialist a lot more - they are very professional and investigating a lot more things. I still have one frozen embie left at the old clinic but can't see the point in using it until they have some clue as to what might be wrong. It's emotionally hard going through BFN after BNF as I'm sure some of you girls know.
I have been doing the complete opposite over the last few months. I was having acupuncture and taking chinese herbs for 2 years but decided to give it a bit of a break. I think I need to stop obsessing about getting pregnant and just live for a bit. I also started drinking diet coke again Damn evil drink - I better stop that. I am very interested in taking Royal Jelly though thanks for the tip.
Hope you girls are all good and I look forward to hearing your updates

    hi Summershine

I see you are in WA too...hope your new clinic brings you the change you need. It is a disheartening process, Ive had 3BFNs as well, and while I havent changed clinics (yet), I have changed FS, and Im hoping he has a fresh perspective on our situation. ...What is it with diet coke that makes it such a hard habit to break? just seeing the can makes me crave it! pure evil...

    Hi Girls!

SummerShine - Welcome! thats good your new Fs wants to start from scratch - even though it will be time consuming its better to do that as your old Fs may have missed something.. I have fingers crossed all goes quickly and you get your awaited BFP!

Pilbara - How are you hun? Hows your little precious! Love hearing about babies! I always love getting pics from friends of their kids! thankfully I havent turned into a crazy woman yet! although I do have bouts of it!

And of course I cant scroll back any further! rude!!

So a big, huge hello to everyone else!!

AFM- Not much is new, as I said yesterday just been smashing it in the gym as I have surgery on Monday and not sure how recovery will be, a few have said that its fine I will be back into it in a week, the books say 4 weeks! (which I will die if thats the case) and others say they were fine the next day.. Guess it really depends on what he finds and removes... one part of me thinks its better to find endo as that could be why my first transfer with two embies didnt stick.. but then the other side of me says I hope he doesnt find anything..

This may be TMI - but does anyone get excruciating pain around their AF? almost like contractions (comes and goes) my pain would be a 12 out of 10 when that happens! I have read that can meam endo and some girls have even passed out from the pain!

I am off for a medical peel and micro tomorrow! I cant wait!! its the oddest feeling! its like a million pins and needles on your face then intense burning! it does wonders for my face! its not like SATC where Samantha is red as a tomato! I just peeled alittle on my chin. But geez it is like an instant face lift! made a deal with DH that I can have that done but not botox! I hate that I am getting a frown line!!!

Anywho! HAve a super weekend girls!

Will keep you updated with my surgery...

Hey jessiesgirl - good luck with the surgery on Monday! I have also heard of women with endo having really bad AF pains so you might be onto something. If FS finds endo atleast you might have some answers. The peel sounds awesome might have to give it a go one day.

AFM - nothing much really just chugging along taking a zillion meds. Made my appt with FS for early December to double check my plan for jan. feels so long away still! We are so busy through nov though so I am sure it will fly by. We are doing some semi-permanent renos to our garage next weekend to turn it into a playroom. Hoping it turns out and the new shelving system will save our DVDs and CDs from DD throwing them everywhere. It will also free up our third bedroom which will be handy if luck is on our side in January and we're blessed with another bub...

    How is everyone else Going?

    Afternoon ladies.

Can I join here? We've been on the IVF trail for a little while, been reading the threads for months now but not joining in. I suppose I've been in denial about being on IVF. I've tried to keep myself distanced from it all, focusing on work and doing the deed on the side. My DH works away also, only really home when we need his 'contribution'. So I kind of feel I've been going it alone. ANYWAY, I'll stop rambling now. We have failed 2 rounds of fresh transfers. Doing extra tests this week and next, DNA for DH and biopsy for me. Have 3 frozen and hoping to try for a FET in December. It will be nice to meet you all soon.

    Thanks for the welcome girls!

Jessegirl - I had a lap and hist and went back to work in two days although I would now say that was too soon. I think it will set you back for about a week. I couldn't do full on exercise for a couple of weeks. I was also nervous because I had read on the internet that it may take up to six weeks to recover! I remember it hurt to sit up and back down for a few days but it got better quickly. I had a tiny tiny scar but that has now completely faded. Sending you good vibes for tomorrow!
As for AF pain until I went on the pill I used to get terrible pain - so bad I would faint. When I came off the pill at the end of 2008 I have never had any pain. It worries me I keep thinking I should have pain?? The lap didn't show anything wrong, no endo anything.

Pilbara - Hope you had a fun weekend in Perth! I don't know what it is about Coke but it's so addictive. I have decided I'm going cold turkey starting tomorrow - wish me luck. I also got some fresh Royal Jelly from the House of Honey in the Swan Valley. It smells pretty bad haven't tried it yet though.

Rai37 - Welcome aboard. I can relate to being in denial about IVF. I find focusing on other things has worked for me because when I focus on IVF it really is a roller coaster ride of emotions. Good luck up wtih your additional tests I hope they shed some light on what is going on for you? May I ask what the biopsy if for? Sorry if that is nosey I'm just interested in any tests others are having.

Moomechanic - Well done on the weight loss way to go!!!!! Keep up the good work.

Nicole83 - Don't worry before you know it, it will be January! Amazing how fast time goes.

AFM - Had more tests last week, doing another blood test tomorrow and have my next specialist appointment in December. One thing about IVF, it's forcing me to learn patience.

    Thanks SummerShine

No problems re the biopsy. To be totally honest I didn't ask too many questions. All I know is they will take a piece of the lining of the uterus for biopsy. I am hoping they will find out if my body is attaching the embryo. They are hoping to find something concrete before we use our frozen embryos. Your blurb sounds just like us. I'm 37, we got nothing on our first try, 3 frozen on our second. I'm not going on with IVF after I turn 38 next year so time is running out. We had our daughter naturally 7 years ago. It's been a long road. Unlike you I haven't done anything 'complimentary' like acupuncture. I just don't have the time for it. Work keeps me too busy. I'm hoping I don't regret this.

    Good luck all.
