Just wondering if anyone has one of these yet? Or any opinions?
Im thinking of getting one for DS1 who will be three at Christmas. How are the apps downloaded? Are they expensive??
Thanks!

The applications are downloaded via the software that comes with it iv been told. Iv never bought any applications, just games from
Shop. Also fits all the leapfrog explorer games too. My daughter got a explorer in April for her birthday (5yrs) and i was thinking of getting leap pad for my 3year old too. But I'm the same as you, don't know anyone who has one.
Explorer games rrp between $25-$40
I was thinking the same thing for my DS who will be 5 soon and starting reading all the reviews on the net. I haven't found any reviews that rave about it and the big thing that turns me off is it takes AA batteries, isn't rechargeable like other tablets.
Still sitting on the fence with this one.
Do not argue with an idiot.
He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Sorry a little off topic but wanted to add that I too have been looking at them but decided on sticking with my iPad. I have many kids games on there and you can get great educational apps for free or even only $2-5. You can also buy stylus' for the iPad (3rd party ones) which i thought might be good for writing with. My DD just turned 4 and she is allowed to use it on occasion. She is super careful with it so I'm going to stick with that and pass on the Leap Pad (although I do love their products and have many of them).
