Thanks zoo ive been admitted to hospital for 48 hrs for antibiotics. Am also having the gynae team assess me twice a day as bub can get distressed with the infection or from the morphine. So far bubs seems to be fine. Theyre doing a pre-eclampsia workup while im here aswell coz my blood pressure is up but could be due to the pain.

    Im in good hands

Oh pb!! I hope you are ok! Sound like you were good hands!

Afm: I'm going well my plans for home birth are finally a reality!! Found a doula who is giving her service free of charge as she is new to the area and have found a mid wife who is cheap and amazing!! I'm so so excited!

Wow a home birth! That would be amazing but im too chicken and would worry that something would go wrong. And i guess, being a nurse, im a bit biased towards hospital care lol but i think it would be such a fantastic experience. What a score finding a free doula!!

Just been seen by the doctors. Have to stay in hospital for at least another 48hrs. But my blood pressure has been relatively well behaved today so thats good. The poor obstetrician though - i had a full on break down infront of her this morning. I think everything just got to me and i'd had enough. She was lovely about it though....said hormonal women were an occupational hazard lol!!

Oh PB I'm glad your in good hands, I hope everything gets better for you xx

Edi, you have a bigger set than me, I'd be so scared to do a homebirth.. And I'd be a little bit grossed out cleaning it up lol!! I hope it's everything you've imagined when it comes time!!

Hope everyone is going fine xx

    Hi ladies

Im home from hospital now ive been put on a week of bed rest then a trial at work for a month to see how my blood pressure reacts. If it stays ok, i can keep working. If it rises too much, ill be put on office duties or bed rest. Ive been cleared for pre-eclampsia at the moment but theyre still very worried about my blood pressure. The good news - after only three days of complete bedrest my blood pressure is back to normal so at least its bouncing back easily. The pain, they discovered, is gallstones but i cant have my gallbladder out until after the baby comes unless it becomes life threatening. So just rest and painkillers.

Had a very bad day yesterday....everything just came to head when they found my heart was skipping every fourth beat and they started talking about sending me to Perth. It was the straw that broke the camel's back and I lost the plot. Very embarassing when your breakdown is infront of your work mates but such is life in a country town. Poor DF got the shock of his life when he came in that evening (hes on night shift so had been asleep) to see me having a level 5 meltdown! But all ok...no need for specialist investigations as long as im not symptomatic and bubs keeps growing.

Sorry for the long post. I hope youre all ok. Hows that baby of yours baking Marttc??

Oh PB you poor thing! I hope you are feeling okay now, and that the rest and painkillers work. It must be hard with people from work but I'm sure they understand- and who hasn't had some sort of meltdown at work at least once. :-)Edi sounds like things are going great! What about everyone else?Afm, I had my 12 week scan today!!! Everything was great and the "4D" was amazing!
