I have just had my booking in appointment with the midwives at our local hospital.

First issue: the scales. I have actually LOST weight since getting pregnant! Seriously, who does that! Obviously my morning sickness has taken its toll. But bubs is still measuring within its limits so theyre not too concerned, though i have been told to eat more. So now DF is going insane trying to get me to eat every 2 hours and theres no way hes going to let up!

Second issue: blood pressure. Ive been told that i'll probably develop pre-eclampsia because my BP is already borderline and because my mum was induced at 36 weeks with the same - apparently a 50% chance if your mum or sister had PE. But thats ok...theyre aware of the risk so will be keeping a close eye on me. So now im determined to get everything ready as soon as possible incase i get put on bed rest or incase we have to deliver early.

Apart from that, everything else was fine! I had a problem with handing my wee over to someone who i work with though and with whom were having dinner with tomorrow night, so i ended up testing it myself haha being pregnant at the hospital where you work has its ups and downs! I now see them every four weeks unless any problems arise.

That all sounds good PB - well, except the PE, but at least that is being closely monitored. At my first gp appointment yesterday (first for this pregnancy) my gp didn't even check blood pressure! Oh well, I'm back in 3 weeks, she can do it then.

Good luck for today MARTTC, I hope it's good news!!

PB- like Edi said it all sounds good except for the PE.. Luckily you work in a hospital so if anything does happen you will be in great hands..

AFM still waiting to O.. My temps are still down and I've gotten -OPKs so I haven't missed it.. We are sticking to the BDing every second day, although I will step it up toward the end of the week, closer to O time.. We have q couple of days off together this weekend so it makes it easier to BD lol..

Hope all my other lovelies are going good

    xxx

today i got hubby to go have a chromosomal test done, to check for abnormalities. takes 3-4 weeks to get results.

i took 2 days off work this week and cause i 'feel' fine as in no cramps or aches, just like a heavy period, i feel guilty as i'm not really sick. but i think for mental health it was a good idea.

so yes back to square one for us. i have a scan next week anyway (was meant to be a dating scan) coz she figured i'd want an early look at bubs, but they told me to still come in to see how the m/c is going. will have HCG tested on monday again, to see how much it's lowered. it's slowed down the amount of blood which is good, i just want it to end asap, last time it lingered a whole month and then joined into my actual period kicking in.

off to see my recurrent specialist lady in 2 weeks and she'll give me a new 'number', cause this now officially makes me recurring as 3 in a row. then i'm gonna see my fertility specialist and discuss with him in the meantime if he recommends a laparoscopy to look inside to see if there's something hindering good implantation since it's happening around 5 week mark that spotting begins and then actual blood happens at 6 weeks. this time though i only had spotting for half a day.

but it may all just be my blood clotting disorder causing all these issues and perhaps next time need to start injecting blood thinners asap instead of just half dose aspirin.

so at the moment there's no answers, but i'm being pro-active and getting more investigative.

MARTTC: do let us know how your cycle of IVF is going? xx

There seems to be so much to do and think about Merri, I am glad that you have some plans in place, but hope you are okay in the meantime.

Nic, fingers crossed this is your month, keep on those temps and the opks!

Gosh, merri, how horrible. As if it wasn't bad enough that all of this is happening to you but for it to drag out for so long must be terrible. I'm glad you took some time off though. You need to look after yourself, especially because it seems you'll have alot going on over the next few weeks. You sound like you've got a good plan though, which is good, and hopefully that will help you through it all.
    xx
