Well its thursday so time for my next ob appointment. I cant believe that ive only got four more appointments to go (assuming i go to my due date).

Fingers and toes crossed for a positive result. As much as i want to meet our little girl, i dont think im quite ready to be induced this week. I need a week to mentally prepare haha (and yes, i realise i wont have a week to prepare if i go in to labour spontaneously!)

Merri, you must be gearing up to test soon hey??

    Xxx

Ok so the bad news - they've confirmed pre-eclampsia. But thats not really a surprise with mum's history. The good news - it's only mild at this stage and my blood pressure, whilst high, is manageable. Obviously every extra day we can keep baby inside is a bonus, so at this stage we're aiming to keep her inside until 37 weeks (9 days away) and then discuss induction/c-section.

So for now, it's strict bed rest (and ive been told that if I don't stick to it then they'll be putting me in hospital where I have no choice but to rest), weekly blood tests and weekly doctors appointments.

Wow, I can't believe that we could be meeting our little girl in 9 days!! Though I still think we'll be about another 14 days for some reason.

funny that you should ask. yest i was 11dpo and caved and tested and BFP people!!!!!!!!!!! darker again today at 12dpo.
But please oh please dont celebrate yet, we all know how the last 3 have ended.
So here's my plan of attack. starting prog support asap, i'm on my baby aspirin and trying my hardest to get in to see my specialist. she was meant to call me back today, but didnt and she only works part-time. oh well, i'll try again tomorrow and perhaps just see if they can book me an appoint for 2 weeks time, as really need to get onto the blood thinners then.
Am staying very cool, calm and collected about it all, as this could lead anywhere. Just cause it looks like i'm pregnant, doesnt mean i'm having a baby yet! But on the inside can i slightly be excited? i sorta am, but hey it's in the gods hands now, not mine.

so 9 days PB, 9 days and you could have your little one in your arms. eeeeeeeeeek, that is so bloody exciting

Marttc, how's your 2WW going? how long do you have to wait?

Merri!!!!! How can you not be excited?! Thats fantastic news I know it means very little when youve been through what youve been through, but what will be will be. Hopefully you get in contact with your FS tomorrow so you can do everything in your power to encourage this little one to stay put. The rest is up to fate. But YAY!!!!

I know, 9 days. Its bloody scary but bloody exciting at the same time. I feel like im in my own form of TWW haha but i dont want to get toooo excited because i know theyll try to keep her inside for as long as possible, and whilst i desperately want to hold her in my arms, i dont want her to be rushed out with no good reason so ill be equally as happy for her to stay put for the next four weeks.

AFM, I had my nana's funeral yesterday, she was 96 so can't say it was a complete shock, but it was still sad. Will try to cheer myself up at the baby expo this weekend!

Oh zoo im sorry to hear about your nana. 96 is amazing though. She would have been so excited to know youre going to be a mum How was the baby expo? Did you manage to score some bargains? Ive heard that there are fantastic specials there. We were never able to go as, typically, there were never any expos on when we were in Perth!

Marttc, how are you feeling? One week down, one to go!

    Merri, bubba still sticking?
