Default First iudi cycle under way - join us for our tww?

Thanks skizzie. I'm with Dr. Anne too and because I have 15 days of progesterone, BT is day 16. I think I can wait that long.

I hope you're wrong about emby too. I am hoping for baby dust for both of us!!!

I bet your cousin have a baby is just NOT what you need right now

I start Crinone tomorrow night, but have no blood tests until my hCG test in 16 days. Is that normal?

I thought they might give me a test to see if I ovulated but then, that tests for prog so the gel would change my levels anyway I guess?

    Does ovidrel always work?
BTs are done post trigger for egg collection cycles to ensure there is enough hormone for eggs to be ready at collection time.

Some people have BTs after their follow up Pregnyl injections if they are known to have low progesterone levels to ensure the body is doing the right thing and producing sufficient progesterone. Pregnyl is the hormone HCG which causes the ovaries to produce progesterone.

As crinone is progesterone, unless you have naturally low levels of progesterone or progesterone issues you shouldn't need follow up bloods except for your end of cycle test. Dr Anne checks all your levels etc before you get to the cycling stage and then in your cycle bloods (the ones you have at the same time as your scans). If the levels are low there then she will give you forms to make sure all is going to plan. No forms = no worries! LOL!

    Does that help?

I am through Dr Clark at Fertility First & for my iui's they order my BT on day 13 or 14 depending in the weekend etc.

well sorry to be a downer girls but I really dont think my little emby has found a home in my belly this time I really really really really hope I'm wrong....
Hey Skizzie, sorry to hear you don't think it's worked. When is BT?

And sorry to hear about your cousin. It really sucks sometimes at how easy it appears for some people, especially those that appear to not want or neglect their kids, and yet for some who so desperately want it, it is so hard.

Well see I never had bloods to check my levels during my tracking cycle! So I have no idea what my progesterone naturally is like. (the only bloods I had before my IUI were the general bloods done to check everything on my very first appt).

My BT 16dpiui (if I make it that far) tests for E2, P4 and hCG so I guess they'll see whether I need more prog after that depending on those levels!

    Tips:
Remember your chance at a successful IUDI is no different to a natural pregnancy so approx 15-20% chance of success depending on age etc.

Drink a 600ml bottle of water in the hour before IUDI as a full bladder helps the cervix cooperate an point the right way making it less uncomfortable and easier for dr Anne.

Drink 400-500ml of pomegranate juice a day from the day you stop bleeding to the day before IUDI. This helps build a nice thick and rich lining making a comfy spot for your potential emby.

Make sure your Vit D is above 80U as this gives the best eggs. Try spending 20-30mins in the morning sun every day.

Chillax! The more relaxed you are, apparently the better chance of it working.

Also studies have shown if you (or whoever is having the IUDI done) org@sms the night before IUDI it has more chance at working.

Any thing else you wanna know?

    hi

Rainbow, how is the TWW going?

GDYB03 welcome, I'm sure you will find lots of support here. I did 3 IUI's with Dr Anne, i guess my best advice is to relax. If its your time for the IUDI to work, then it will, there is nothing you can do it's all in natures hands

Catemer - I hope all is going well on your triplet cycle

There are lots of us with Dr Anne fingersx i think its great

I hope everyone else is going ok

AFM i just pee'd on the stick and.............................................BF N . The negative thoughts are starting to creep in.....what if I never fall......what if we are never parents etc etc. I have 5 little frosties left and as I have said before, if we dont get a little one after those then we are looking at other options like long term care or adoption. 7 years of trying for a bub is starting to do my head in
In saying that, i entertain those thoughts for a bout 5 minutes then i shake it off and get on with enjoying life

Hey skizzie. I hope this is your turn. 7 years of trying - I am totally in awe of you. I really hope it's your turn! How many days past transfer are you?

Tww is going well. I'm pretty relaxed considering. I am 5dpiui and 4dpo (pretty sure). Crinone is unpleasant but, you do what you can, hey??

Fingerscrossd1, what's your next plan of attack?

    How's everyone else going?
