congrats Skizzie on starting the TWW. The timing worked out well, so it's a good sign of things to come.Hope you still have your nails! Best luck and heaps of to you.

Another 6 days for me till blood test I feel so much more invested in this cycle than usual, and am pretty sure I have started the slow spiralling descent into insanity

Now to find something to keep me occupied...

Thanks Amabel - 6 more days for a blood test will feel like an eternity, keep busy & hopefully it will fly by As this is my 5th 'official' TWW i am getting a little better at keeping occupied, i still find myself obsessing occasionally but all in all im getting better at it.

I dont have Pregnyl injections this time, i'm using the daily Crinone cream. Apparently the 1500mg supplies of Pregnyl have temporarily run out. At least the injections are over for this cycle

Hope everything is going well RWS & Catemer

ps....my Cervix was so well behaved i think the whole 'procedure' took about a minute

    Hi everyone!
Sorry for being so quiet for the last week, I've been trying to keep as busy as possible in the hopes that the 2ww will fly past.

Carlyandmark: Sorry to hear that this cycle didn't work for you. Keep us posted with what's happening & when you start your next cycle.

Skizzie: Welcome to the 2ww! Also, I love you for using the term "magic squirt"!

Cate: OH YAY! I have my fingers crossed for you! It's torturous having that HCG in your system, isn't it? I hate how it makes HPTs so hard to trust.

Amabel: I am hearing you about feeling as though you've invested a lot into this cycle. I'm worried that I might go a little mad if it doesn't work out. I know I'll be ok, but I think it will reallyhurt this time, if it fails.

Weeell, I'm 9 DPO today, and am desperately over-analyzing every little twinge in my pelvis! I've been testing to watch the Ovidrel leave my system, and as of yesterday I'm still getting very, very faint positives. I wish I had the patience to just leave those HPTs alone! Haha!

Somebody needs to invent some sort of advent type calendar for the 2ww. Where you get to eat a chocolate for each day that passes. Yeah?

    Good luck, all!

    Hi everyone,

I am just about to start my first cycle of medicated IUI, start Letrozole tomorrow. We are hoping that we can get a BFP from IUI rather than having to start IVF, still waiting on results of all tests to make sure DP hasn't started producing sperm antibodies during the time after Vasectomy and before reversal but we decided to go ahead with a cycle of IUI so as not to waste any more time. I am surprised the specialist who did the reversal didn't do this test when he did the reversal as he talked about it being a possibility.

Anyway, I wish everyone luck and its nice to meet you all

    Hi Ladies!

    Welcome Prettypetal!

Skizzie Hope your TWW is a quick one! Glad your cervix behaved!

Amabel - How are you travelling? Only 4 days until BT!

Mellington - Haha! I was the same with the HPTs! 6dpiui and I was testing! I got my first negative at 7dpo, another at 8dpo and at 9dpo I got a very faint positive..which got darker and darker each day

I love your advent calendar idea!!

AFM - Been better Had a really rough few days and am now on maxolon to curb the 24/7 nausea and vomiting!

    Hi Everyone

Welcome Prettypetal, I hope your IUI journey just flies by with sanity intact and good news at the end

RWS that really sux. I think you should just tell your body enough is enough and it better pull into line promptly I hope your feeling better soon.

Nice to see you back Mellington, though your a bad influence on me, I went and POAS, thoroughly inspired by your plan Too early obviously I do like the advent calendar idea, though I think O day should start with champagne! When is your blood test?

How are you holding up Skizzie how's the Crinone going? I had to use the progesterone suppositories last time, but i hear the gel is different. Glad your cervix behaved itself

Catemer. I read in another thread that your DP's AF turned up. I really hope it's gone now and everything is ok

AFM Sorry, but I need to vent I have decided that this cycle is a bust. I really think the clinic got the timing wrong. They say that first blood test is supposed to be 7DPO, but they booked me in for 8DPO and a day behind for all the other tests. And, if they got the timing wrong, then that would explain my cervix shutting down and hiding out. On top of that, I think my progesterone is going to be low again, I always have sore (.Y.) and my body behaves the same way everytime, this time I feel nothing. So I am going to call my Dr and see if she can up the meds next time and keep a closer eye on what's going on. I think I may be feeling a bit of loss of control. Or, maybe I have left sanity somewhere behind in the TWW

Anyways, hope everyone has a good week.

    Hi Guys

Welcome PrettyPetal, i hope you find as much peace and sanity as I do from this thread. I just said to DH how much this has helped me through

So nice to have you back Mellington, i'm glad everything is going ok. I gotta give the 'magic squirt' props to Catemer, it was in the very first post on this thread, I loved it so much that i just had to use it Also i LOVE your advent idea is a cracker.

RWS I really hope things settle down for you real soon, but i'm also glad the pg is all going to plan

Don't give up on this cycle yet Amabel, until AF you just never know. One day out might not be as bad as you think

Catemer I hope you guys are ok

AFM no news, just trying REALLY hard not to buy a HPT, its too early anyway but it's just so hard to resist
Good luck & sticky vibes to all

    Hi all!

Prettypetal: Welcome! And good luck with your first IUI. Is this also your first time taking Letrozole? I've heard a lot of women say that it doesn't have anywhere near as many side effects as Clomid. I hope it works well for you

RWS: I am terrible with HPTs! Haha. My husband thinks it's hilarious.
Sorry to hear that your nausea is so bad. I'll never forget that terrible constant, carsick feeling when I was pregnant with my little boy. The only thing that made me feel better was CARBS. Weird, right? For a little while I worried that I was gestating a potato in there or something. But once I finally made it to the second trimester, it disappeared and I was able to return to a normal lifestyle again. Is the maxolon helping? Don't be afraid to go back to your Dr if you're not improving.

Amabel: I'm so sorry that you're feeling like that. I've also started to have that sinking feeling about this cycle, so I understand. It does sound as though your clinic might need to monitor you a bit more closely. How many DPO are you now? As Skizzie said, it's not over yet!
My clinic doesn't perform bloods to confirm pregnancy in IUI cycles until around 6wks preg . Isn't that crazy? I think this is only feeding my addiction to pregnancy tests!

Skizzie: You are being very good, resisting the urge to test! I hope you're keeping distracted and your 2ww is passing quickly.

AFM: I tested again this morning (of course!), 11DPO, BFN. I'm not giving up yet, but I'm starting to let a little bit of doubt creep into my mind. At least my work is keeping me busy, so the days are passing quickly.
Thanks so much for all of your kind words. You've all made this so much easier to cope with.

    Hi all.

RWS - that is really crappy re your neausea, I hear ginger is really good at helping, a little bit of crystallized ginger when it gets bad helps.

Amabel - sorry to hear you think it's a bust. I really hope it's not for you.

Mellington - I too love your tww calendar idea and think you should start marketing them - I'm sure you could make a motza out of them! I hope your cycle is treating you well, and that your poas addiction isn't causing you too many issues. Remember the first step is "Hi my name is Mellington and I am a poas addict!" oh oh I know - in your tww calendar on random days you could have a HPT and a chocolate in the window?

Skizzie - no worries re the term 'magic squirt'. Feel free to use at will. in our house it's referred to as one of two things 'magic squirt' or 'icky boy juice'! as you can tell boys reallyare not our section!

Pretty petal - welcome and good luck on your tww. I really hope it is successful.

AFM - we had our blood tests today. I spoke to our FS this morning and told her we knew what the result was going to be and we discussed the positive HPT's and I asked about whether or not could of just been a lag over from the pregnyl. She said that no.the dose of pregnyl we were giving would have all been out of DP's system by Friday night. So the bfp's we were getting on Friday Saturday and Sunday were real! But. Monday DP had some cramping and some spotting. Tuesday DP had a very heavy AF with lots of thick clotting (sorry if tmi, but I need to tell someone!). The blood results confirmed what DP and I already knew. We were pregnant. But now not so much.
Now I am a scientist, so my brain is looking at the statistical side of things and the logical side of things going, well know must just not be the right time and the body can have millions of reasons for miscarrying. But my heart feels broken. In the 3 days we knew DP was pregnant I got so attached to that little jelly bean. And now it's gone. I know we did everything we were told, to the letter. DP even had cold showers to avoid raising her core temperature during the two! I just can't help feeling sad. Thanks everyone for your hugs and your support. It really helps knowing I have all of you out there to share this with.
We have decided to try again this cycle. At least we know DP can get pregnant. It just the staying that way we need to work on.

    Afternoon guys,

Catemer - i just wanted to reassure you that your broken heart will heal. As you see at the bottom of my posts I haven't been very successful with the 'staying pg' part, both my miscarriages were 'missed mc' & we found out both times at the schduled ultrasound, prior to this there was no physical indication of mc. With the 2nd one we saw a little heart beat at 7 weeks but it stopped growing shortly after that - i think this was the lowest point in my life thus far. Our third iui was a dudd but the last one was the same as you guys, af was a few days late and according to the blood test 'something' happened but it didn't stick.
At least your dp can fall, now it's just a matter of getting some super strong 'icky boy juice' & getting the little jelly bean to stick
Oh.....we are also through Fertility First, the Nurses there are AWESOME!!!

Hope everyone else is travelling along like champions

AFM im still fighting the urge to poas
