    Congratulations Mellington

That is such awesome news. I'm so happy for you and your DP.
So good to finally have a BFP in our ranks. How are you feeling? Has it sunk in yet?

As for everyone else, I hope you are all enjoying you Christmas new year break and staying healthy.

DP and I are focussing on making ourselves as healthy as possible for our ivf starting on 16 Jan as this is CD21 which is apparently when an IVF cycle starts! Sounds like I'm going to have to get my head around the new magic days for a while!

    Hi everyone

Sorry I have been quiet, i have been taking big break from the baby making stuff.....sooooooo much has happened while I was away.

Firstly, a big big big big congrats Mellington i am so excited that we have a BFP in our little bub hub family, are you feeling well?

Welcome dandelion and angel, I hope you find as much support and peace from the lovely ladies here as I do

Chubear im so sorry your cycle didnt work out, I hope you are enjoying your break

Catemer, I really hope IVF does the trick for you guys. The 16th will be here before you know it...........you better get busy making chocolates, from what I understand there is lots of jabbing - well worth it though

DQ I hope you have enjoyed the break over christmas as much as I have, although that want for a little bub is always in the back of my mind no matter how hard I try not to think about it

Flynnsmumma, will you be iui'ing this cycle? or are you having a break?

    I hope I haven't missed anyone

AFM we are still not 'talking babies' which was great for a few weeks but Im starting to bust, i just wanna make a decision on IUI or IVF. However, I can tell that the break has been fabulous for DH so im not going to put any pressure just yet. I think we will make a decision later this week, af is due on monday so we still have the rest of this week to talk about it. If there is one thing I have learnt on this very loooooooong journey, it's patience

Catemer: I hope your journey into IVF is short and successful! I have all of my fingers and toes and limbs crossed for the two of you. You've had enough bad luck so far, it's time for something good to happen!

DQ: How is life treating you? Any idea when you'll be starting your next cycle? I hope you've been able to enjoy some down time, though I bet it's been frustrating.

Skizzie: Thanks! I was thinking, have you and your partner looked into fertility counseling? It might help you both come to a decision that you're happy with, regarding your treatment. There are a lot of people around that offer it these days, and a lot of clinics will have a counselor attached to them.

AFM: Still in shock! I spoke to one of the nurses today and told her the news. Tomorrow morning I'll be having my first lot of b-hcgs done. I've had a small amount of bleeding and cramping over the weekend, but I'm trying to not let it worry me too much. I keep reminding myself that I bleed almost daily until 13wks with my son, and he is now sleeping peacefully in his cot.
Otherwise, I'm feeling good. Just a tiny bit of nausea so far (much the same as my last pregnancy), but so, so, so, so, so, so, so incredibly tired!
So tired in fact, that I'm thinking of heading off to bed right now at 7:30pm.

I hope you are all doing well, thank you all for being so lovely and supportive.

    HI everyone,

Just thought I'd check in to say hello, and to see how everyone is going.

We are going to start our next iui cycle once af shows up - the fist time I am actually WANTING her to arrive so we can get started again.

Anyway, let me know when anyone is getting started with their next cycle - be it iui, diui or ivf!

    Take care all

    Hi there.

I'm due to start my FIRST IUI cycle with donor sperm as soon as AF shows up too. She was due yesterday but of course she wouldn't be on time when I actually want her to show up. Lol

I'm getting really excited and praying it will work first time for us so we don't have to go onto ivf.

I wish everyone the best of luck no matter where they are in their cycles

    Hi ladies,

Can I join? I have been a member of bub hub now for a while but just actually sitting in the waiting room as I type for DH to give his sample lol.

A bit of history, I had some mild endo removed in sep and normally ovulate late (cd18-24) and DH has low morph 4%. We have been ttc for around 2yrs now with no success and have finally decided to try IUI.

If this cycle doesn't work we r thinking of changing from IVF Australia as there have been a number of issues. One that I would like opinions on is the fact that they put me on a very low dosage of Gonal F injectable (37.1iu till day 15 and then a shot of 50) with the trigger on day 15. However we were annoyed because as per instructions we had sex on day ten but then were concerned that this would be 7 days from IUi so were then instructed to dtd two days before IUi and a bit concerned that it won't be enough time for build up?

Sorry for the rant and trying to be positive but need some reassurance! Good luck to everyone else !!

ggr i posted but computer ate it!

hi nattie, we are with QFG and we are told two days abstaining and we get good numbers when it comes to washing the sample.

My next cycle will start when AF rocks up which should be in the next 1-2 weeks. i will check with dr next week what meds to take, i'm hoping for metformin cos i heard it can help people with high insulin resistance. But for now I'm in the TWW, but considering its a natural cycle i don't have much hope.

Flynns mama - i wonder if we will be cycle buddies again this time round?

    How is everyone else?

Chubear, we may be cycle buddies again! I have some unusual spotting at the mo... I'm not due for 5 or 6 days. I am supposed to go into pick up shots tomorrow, but maybe I have it wrong - feels like AF is coming at any moment though.
I guess if it is still the same tomorrow, I will tell the clinic and will wait a bit longer.
Has anyone else had this going on???

    Welcome Nattie!
Just on the IVF Australia, I go there as well, but haven't had any issues - got pregnant first iui, after a lap to remove mild endo, and a hystoroscapy?(sorry, don't know spelling). I just had a bfn at Christmas time, (2nd iui) but will give iui another go. How many iui cycles have you done? Have they said why they won't up the dosage? How did you respond to the doses ie many follies?

Catamer - good luck to you and dp tomorrow! it all goes smoothly.

Angel - I can't believe that your doctor has said you only have this one chance iui'ing with donor sperm! It apparently takes a number of attempts for iui success! It isn't really giving you much of a chance. for you, and good luck!

    Mellington, how's it all going?

To everyone else, I hope your journey this month is a better one, a fresh new start for the year

Would you think about trying another clinic if this time doesn't work out? You will be giving yourself a better chance if you give it another go, I reckon.

It's great to see that there is now a section for IUI/IUDI.

DH and I have just found out recently that we have to go down the IUDI path and the fertility specialist said we can only have one shot at this and then he will put us on IVF so that we aren't wasting donor sperm.

I feel like it is putting a lot of pressure on me to make it work so I guess I am looking for a bit of support/advice from people who are going through the same thing.

We had our appointment with the nurse today to pick a donor and go through the process and we can start as soon as I get to cd1, in approximately 2 weeks which is great but has been a lot to take in today.

Where is everyone else at in their IUI/IUDI journey? xx
