    Hey everyone,
Chubear and Catemer, looks like monday for you both! Good luck!

Skizzie, DQ and Kemmy, I hope you are doing ok in the tww - I have now commenced my ttw as well...

Mellington, vent away! It must have been pretty upsetting for you to find that out-especially after your busy week I really hope you get some follie action by thursday, let us know.

Well, yesterday was a bit more difficult than anticipated. My last iui was quite painful due to the nurse not being able to find my cervix - after many tries, she got another nurse to have a go, then after she had a number of goes, we had success. Apparently my cervix is tilted back and to the left....
Anyway, armed with this knowledge this time around, I thought it may be a little easier, quicker and maybe less painful....
Although it took a little less time than before, and only needed the one nurse this time, my GOD it hurt. I know it isn't supposed to really hurt, maybe a bit of discomfort, but I guess my insides are a bit all over the place. I couldn't help the tears falling, and I tried to stay calm for the sake of the situation down below.
To top things off, the nurse told me to not to get my hopes up, as last time I was VERY lucky, again only having one follie. She also told me that due to the position of my cervix, I would end up having a c-section as I wouldn't be able to give birth naturally. Awesome, thanks for that. I have a lot to ponder whilst in the tww!

Did anyone else have any issues with their iui's? Please don't think your next one will be like this, I think I am just unlucky in this area! I hope I haven't freaked anyone out, so,so sorry if I have. I haven't heard this happening to anyone other than me, so relax and good luck.

I have to wait until the 27th to have a blood test to find out,(I think because they are closed for xmas) I was hoping to know by Christmas day.... she said I could do a hpt on Christmas day, but I am worried about the result not being correct at this point - she said it wouldn't neccessarily be accurate. DH reckons we should wait, I don't know, I don't think I could hold out! What would you all do?

Have a lovely day everyone, and good luck for tomorrow Catemer and Chubear

Oh youj poor thing! I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience with this. I don't know if anyone has told you this, and hopefully you won't need the info, but... Apparently if you have a full bladder it can help the cervix co-operate a bit better and the full bladder pushing down on it can put the cervix In a better position. As I said fingers crossed you don't need the info, but maybe something to keep in mind for baby number 3?

Thanks for your wishes of good luck. We had a phone call from the clinic today saying that our first choice of donor is available

Early to bed for us so we can be up bright and early for our Dr Anne ritual?

Do any of you do anything special on these appointment days? DP and I get breakfast at a little cafe on the way to/from Dr Anne. It just makes it that little bit special for us. Also after every needle I give DP a homemade peanut butter cup chocolate.

    Thanks Catemer.
I heard about the full bladder thing, so I made sure of it. I was told to empty it prior to iui!? She said her pushing around in there would make me need to pee... hopefully won't need to think about it for a while....

btw, that is fantastic news about your donor! It's a good sign!

On our iui days, we meet up for a little brekkie at a cafe nearby before we go in.
This time we even listened to a 15min relaxation cd before we went in.
(DH always gives me a little kiss after our injections too!)

I wish you all the best for tomorrow

let us know how things go.

Dh made me drive (I have the flu) to chemist for the container at 645 tonight cos he was grumpy. So now I'm grumpy!

Our ritual so far is to have breaky while they wash the sample then off to dr.

But tmorrow I have to go straight to work after oh well it will keep me distracted.

Catemer - i hope everything goes well for tomorrow, talk about fab timing - its nice when things work out and good news about your donor pref I used the Crinone Gel last cycle, i gotta be honest, i didnt really like it, I dont think my symptoms were any more intense, i didnt like the..................TMI alert !!!!!!!............. 'stuff' left behind. The nurses said that it wasnt real nice and i didnt know what they meant till i used it, DH and I didnt really want to DTD coz of the 'stuff'. soooo sorry about the TMI I went back to Pregnyl this cycle, they had some in stock at that time.

Mellington, Thats great news about your mum. I'm sorry your body isnt responding to the meds yet, hopefully you will have better news on Thursday

AFM - 12dpiui and I did a HPT this morning and........................... I'm not losing all hope yet but it made tonights injection a little harder to do as it felt like I was doing it all for nothing. I was feeling some symptoms last week but I havent felt anything for a few days now

Catemer I so know what you mean about the image of the Dr, the clipboard and ovaries. When I left my FS last week I must have looked like a bit of a nutter - I had a huge smile on my face and every now and then I would have a little giggle when of thought of what my FS had said. The image you described was very similar to what I was imagining. Wishing you and your DP all the best for tomorrow morning and for having your first choice donor available!
    Also to chubear for tomorrow.

Due to working nights I haven't been able to get on here to see how everyone is getting on so have had to do a bit of reading tonight to catch up. for everyone in their tww.

AFM - Today was day 4 of my injections, 2 days to go with blood test on Tuesday. Hope that the bloods show that my ovaries have been doing something.
As I'm doing this on my own I have been giving myself the injections every morning. Up until today I have had now problems but today DAMN (excuse the language) it hurt this morning. wonder what I did differently?

flynnsmumma - welcome to the tww with us Sorry to hear about the trouble you had with your IUI, I can't really say. This was my first and all went smoothly, I didn't have any pain so I'm sorry to hear that you did.

Skizzie... 8dpo for me, how slow does the time go when you are waiting for something hey! It's so hard to stop SS!

BlueAngel71 - you are so brave, I think I'd be too scared to give myself injections! Eek!

Hi all. Thanks for all the good wishes and vibes. The universe must have heard you all.our iudi went smoothly this morning.

    ***TMI alert ***
when the nurse did our iudi this morning she made comment on how nice my DP's mucous was looking. The it was the really good nutrient rich mucous that was the best ph for the sperm and helped them go the right way.

So I again drove my DP home, making her recline the seat, with her legs up, so thet 'it' didn't fall out. When we got home I put DP to bed and put the tv on for her, so she has been laying here all day watching the cricket, to make sure that nothing falls out! I'm such a gooba I know!

Chubear, I hope your iui went well, today.

Skizzie, no worries about the tmi, our nurse today was explaining all the yuck that goes with it and I am glad that she told us as if she hadn't and the residual was coming out discolored like she suggests it may happen, I would have panicked and had DP down at the dr quicker than you can say sliced bread! Also, I would prefer the TMI version so I know what to expect, rather than the glossed over version and get surprised and panicked. How did you go with you injection? When is your blood test?

Blue angel, have you tried putting an icepack over the injection site for 5-10mins prior to injecting? It helps to numb the area a little and hence doesn't hurt as much. I applaud you for being brave and strong enough to go through this on your own. If ever you need any additional support, or even just someone to vent to about the emotional roller coaster that this process can bring, we are all here for you.

Now for the tww... Is it the 28th yet? Oh well, at least with Christmas during the tww for us it will give us a bit of a distraction.

    Hello everyone

I am logging in from I pod so will do personals later.
I was going to test tomorrow but AF arrived today. It is needless to say how I am feeling. The worst part is QFG would be close 1 week for christmas and so i have to wait for next cycle for my next iui.

It's going to be a long wait this time. Has anyone tried acupuncture
Or TCM with iui? I may give it a go.
