    Default Campbelltown Area

I know there are a few but they are all pretty old so I thought I would start a new one. I am expecting our first child in 6 weeks, And live in Ingleburn.

I moved up here 2 years ago when I met my husband because his life is up here, assuming that I would make friends like I have every other time I have moved. But that hasn't happened.

Now that we have a baby on the way aswell, I know its going to be harder to meet people. Especially when I don't know where to go to meet other young mums, or even people...

So.. Where do other mums meet up? Is there anyone who would be interested in organising something??

We are both 23, first child..

Hi Rachae, we are in the process of setting up the whole Bub hub ambassadors thingy which will have a lot more face to face meetings of hubbers. I will keep you in mind so when we have something up and running I will be sure to let you know.

Mean while are you going to be having Bub at campbelltown hospital? If so they may have some antenatal classes and you could go and meet other others who are due around the same time as you? Also local areas often have playgroups or mothers groups. Check online, or on council websites for details there.

Not sure if you are churchy type people, but a lot of crèches have a playgroup as well?

I hope this has given you a few ideas, but keep your eyes open for the campbelltown/MacArthur catchups coming soon!

    Thanks cat.
I missed the start of antenatal classes so I didnt bother with them.

And I go to a mums and bubs class at our Church every Wednesday which I love and it'll be good for bubs when she comes, but they aren't many other younger mothers.

    Hey girls,

I know the local clinics run groups for young mums.. (i was too old to go )

Once bubs is born and the clinic nurse comes to do your first visit she will give you all of the info if not just enquire about it. That would be a great way for you to meet other first time mums around your age. They also run many other groups on a regular basis such as settling and breastfeeding etc..

It wouldn't hurt to pop in to the baby clinic at Ingleburn and have a look around. They always have noticeboards with what's happening in the area and when

There is also a playgroup i know of at Macarthur Square. Maybe in the new year we could all even start going there or to another similar one
