    Default Vitamin k

    Hi ladies . Hoping to fall pregnant next year but wondering if anyone has tried 5 mg of vitamin k daily for morning sickness. Found info on internet saying that 91% of wimen with morning sickness disappearex completly in 3 days . Anyone tried?

    Lots of spinach might help. 250g a day after boiled.

    I know the study you mean, but it hasn't been followed up. When I was suffering with #1 and found out about this I tried the combo of vitamins C and K. It worked but that was around 20 weeks when the vomiting was lessening anyway so maybe not related. I'm now pregnant with #2 and suffering again. With #1 I was overseas and could get vitamin K at the supermarket. Now back in Aus I can't get it. It's apparently only available on prescription and when I told my doc I wanted it I couldn't get one because it's not an accepted treatment in Australia. Total BS. Meanwhile they prescribe me Zofran at $7 a Pill which doesn't even work

    Yep- my naturopath had me eat raw brocolli-rocket-lettuce-basil or lightly steamed brussell sprouts, spinach or bok Choy daily ,( for vitamin k plus obviously loads of other vitamins) I would alternate and make salads or steamed veggies and I never had any morning sickness, my SIL used to tease me until she fell pregnant and had horrible morning sickness, until she started eating her greens!

    I eat a lot of vitamin k daily - spinach, miso soup, natto (Japanese fermented soy beans which are practically vitamin k) but the amount I get from food doesn't help especially when I usually can't keep it down. I've got HG again so it's pretty severe. I heard the best combo is 5mg of vitamin k and 25mg of vitamin c taken together. I'm not holding out much hope since even medical intervention hasn't worked after trying every natural therapy under the sun, but tonight I asked my MIL in Japan to send me some vitamin k. Fingers crossed customs doesn't sniff it out before I can try it!

    Hi . Thanks ladies. Seems like vit k may or may not help. I guess it's worth trying if nothing else work. Even if you have to clear out all the spinach in Coles!

    This is so interesting. I love my greens plus I took spirulina tablets and I never had morning sickness....

    Do you know how much vit k was in spirulina? And where did you get?

    No idea. I got mine from a health food shop.
